Carlson Exterior's installed new siding on November 21st, 2022. When Carlson Exterior's initially completed the installation, they failed to clean up around the house or even install the gutters and awning that was taken down for new installation. They did NOT remove the old soffits before installing the new ones, which ***** (project manager) AGREED to do. They REFUSED to reinstall them AFTER THEIR MISTAKE. In June or July of this year, there was some warranty work performed where they fixed a few areas in the siding where I could pull the siding they installed a few inches away from the house. Yesterday on December 3rd, 203, upon replacing my dryer vent hose, I noticed they SIDED OVER the old dryer vent. I immediately opened the front of the dryer to check for any issues and it was COVERED in lint. *****, the project manager, came out today. He declined that they were going to pay for anyone to clean my $1,300 commercial dryer, and he refuses to look at a problem where there is an AWFUL draft coming in from the hole in the wall of the old dryer vent leading to the tyvek of the siding. If the house is sealed properly, there should be no issues with major drafts whatsoever, especially from a hole that they covered up. Today I reached out to the Town of Normal's inspection department lead, **** ******** who sounds like he has some positive history with Carlson Exterior's. It sounded like he didn't believe me. He asked me how I couldn't notice. How did I not feel the humidity? Because I had the siding done to FIX humidity issues, and it only created NEW ONES.
