Despite the fact that we spent about $5,000 at the business, the manager showed no empathy for our situation and simply directed us to customer support.Six weeks after the purchase, they called and requested us to clear everything for delivery. We gave away our sofa and television console. Our television is lying on the floor. This is our tenth week and we have yet to receive our TV console.They charged my credit card immediately , but when it came to delivering the furniture, they were no where to be found. After multiple failed delivery dates and excuses, I was left without my purchase and no resolution in sight. Despite repeated calls and emails, thy refused to take responsibility . This business operated with no regard for professionalism or ethics. They made promises they never intended to keep. Communication was evasive and they would often shift blame rather than take accountability. Their shady practices and lack of integrity made it clear that they cared more about profits than their customers or reputation.Review from COURTNEY D

WORST COMPANY EVER! Aside from the fact they charge an insane amount of money for cheap items, they also charge the customer to return said items. I returned my items over 2 weeks ago and I still have yet to receive my money back!! I spoke to 5 different incompetent customer service clerks who gave me the same run around story about the warehouse not updating the system to show they received the package, when the ***** label THEY created for me clearly shows it was delivered. I even had one of the clerks tell me I was refunded and it would show 3-5 business days, I assume to get me off the phone because when I didn't receive the funds I called back and the next clerk told me the same warehouse story. Now I'm out the items AND $75!!!!! This is robbery. And illegal. SHAME ON CRATE AND BARREL!!!!!!!!! I will never shop here again and would NOT recommend them to anyone.Review from KARINA G

I purchased a children's dresser July 31, 2024, received the dresser two weeks later with a significant damage after delivery people dropped it on my steps. I had to wait for. them to pick it back up and deliver me a new one. They delivered a fresh one and that was great and all, here we are two weeks later... and the lacquer is ruined on the surface. A baby dresser usually has wipes, lotions, ointments, hand sanitizer.. all very normal products to have on there but they now claim its not made to withhold such items... they wont even refund me without paying a shipping fee and RESTOCKING FEE that the company cant confirm immediately, only after they pick it up. what kind of a racquet are these people running. Refund me or let me get a better quality dresser.. why am I being hit with two separate customer service wait times, stress and out of money without a dresser?! unbelievable. no one there wants to help.Review from Peter K

I purchased a sofa from Crate and Barrel and within days after delivery noticed that the fabric was worn and frayed. Despite assurances from staff at the time of purchase that the item was returnable if I was not satisfied, I have not been able to speak with a representative who will accept my request to return the item. Several employees have visited my home to inspect the item, and I have received several calls from Crate and Barrel representatives, but none are willing to accept my request for a replacement or refund.Review from robert l

Those prices are ridiculous.. Seriously who would pay 7k for a cotton sofa ? I mean the CEO's can't see that sales are terrible ? The company really needs a reality check.Review from Shereen A

They don't even deserve 1 star!! I placed an order in March 2024 for a Bridal Registry gift. I kept getting messages of delays of order, but only when I looked into it. They never informed me of delays. Its now end of July 2024. The couple got married and still has not received a bridal shower gift. Will never shop there again. Bad Business! Somehow, my email ended up on the mailing list. They send 2 emails a day, everyday. I have submitted a request to be removed from their mailing list no less than 5 times, and I still receive their emails.Review from Megan J

t's been a nightmare of a journey getting a couch and now we're still stuck with an unsatisfactory resolution. We went through 5 couch deliveries, and haven't been able to get a single one un-damaged. Every time we were assured they would do a special inspection before sending another for delivery. These never happened. We have now had to have five working days revolve around the schedule for these deliveries. We've had to clear our living room 5 times and make extra room for the couch swap, and we've had to coordinate the delivery with our building management. "White glove delivery" has been complained every time about the weight of the couch and the process of delivering, been uncomfortably rushed, and been combative with the building management.Now the couch is being discontinued and we're being offered a small amount to keep the damaged couch with no warranty, or we can return it. They said we'll lose the shipping cost if we return, even though they never delivered a non-damaged couch. I also bought matching pillows that were custom order and they said too bad, they won't return those.When I called the store they admonished us and said how expensive it is for them to do 5 deliveries, as if we were asking for too much. They told us we had wasted our own work days by scheduling during the week, since I mentioned how they're not respecting our time. It doesn't matter when I scheduled, my work and personal time is valuable and Crate & Barrel is not taking any responsibility for wasting my time.At this point we're deciding if we stick with the measly discount to just be done with the ordeal and live with a mediocre couch for a couple years, to just throw it out when it will undoubtedly fail due to poor craftsmanship. Our alternative option is to return and live without a couch for a few months while we sort out finding a new one and waiting for 2-4 months to get it delivered. Purchased a set of **************** during a final sale. When asked about the reason for the discount, I was told the set was out of the box and may be missing a piece. When I got them home, there were shards of broken glass in a container with cracked sides. When I called the store, they told me that the glasses break all the time. Given that these containers hold food, it was irresponsible of the store to sell broken items and misleading as to the reason why they were discounted. Incidentally, they were only discounted by $10. When I called the store to report the condition of the pieces, the manager told me that she had no control over the discounted amount nor what gets discounted. Because it was a final sale, she told me I had no recourse. I don't mind paying for clearance items with scratches, mismatches, or separated from the original packaging. However, I do mind paying for items where I misled about the condition of the items I purchased. Bringing home items with shards of glass is not safe. Crate & Barrel: worst furniture delivery service you could ever imagine, and no one can help you. I brought furniture for my new home and scheduled the delivery date for July 2nd. I schedule my moving to July 3rd because I would have my home completed with all furniture. I would stay at a hotel until July 2nd and then move to my new house (I was moving from ******, so I everything needs to be very organized, specially when you have a baby and a 3 years old kid). They confirmed the delivery by email 2 days prior, and said it would be from 12hs to 2pm. I booked the building elevator, everything was all set. But in July 2nd, ai waited until 6:30pm and nothing. The building does not allow furniture deliveries after 5pm (as usual) and I was so confused and trying to talk to anyone from Crate & Barrel to see what happened. Finally the truck driver call me saying that the truck was broken during the day and delayed all deliveries and that he was approaching my building (that was 6:40 pm). I told him it was not possible to deliver anymore because of the building rules and that he was 4 hour late. He said ok, call the customer service to reschedule. Long story short, we talked to customer service by online chat because unfortunately I couldn't speak to anyone by phone, to ask them to deliver on the next day and they said the next delivery slot would be on July 11 - I explained the situation that was Crate & Barrel fault but they couldn't do anything. I also I called Coral ****** store (where I bought the furniture) and they said they would try to talk to the warehouse to explain but it would be difficult to find a slot. Basically I couldn't solve the problem, they are asking me to wait until July 11, that's unbelievable. I have 2 kids and need to move to my new home, I'm staying at a hotel because I don't have furniture, it was Crate & Barrel fault because the truck was broken, and even that, they want me to wait until July 11 (basically 10 days).
