Plice Construction & Remodeling is building my four-season room (new addition to my current home). The owner (Mr. ******* *****) provided me quotation/estimate on 7/13/2023 (see attached). The original estimate states that "Time of job: 20 days (work Saturday if possible)." See attached document (Page number 3). So, I paid Mr. ******* ***** a deposit of $9,200 on 7/18/2023 (see attached). After payment Mr. ******* started working on August 27th. Mr. ******* never showed up more than 1 to 2 times per week for this work. Some weeks he didn't show up at all. So far, Mr. ******* completed only foundation and framing. He still needs to complete roofing, insulation, window/door installation, dry walls, mudding, flooring, etc. Nowadays Mr. ******* shows up to work approximately once per week after several text messages and requests to come to work.Initial Complaint

The individual, ******* *****, was hired to complete a remodeling project on the bathroom in my home. For the project to be started the individual wanted 60% of the total cost of the project. The 60% was given to him in full on August 4th by *****, *****, and cash. The estimate stated that the project would be completed in about 15 days. Between August 8th when project was started to August 29th the individual/staff only worked on the bathroom five times. After lack of communication and not showing up when he stated he would I asked him to no longer work on the project and refund all but $1,000. Due to only working five days and breaking my window in the process. He ignored me for multiple days and then I saw him in person leaving my job. He stated he would be okay with refunding the money but may have to do it overtime. This conversation was had on 9/2/2023. He has ignored me until today 9/20 because a post was made on social media. He stated that he would no longer refund $5210 he agreed to and stated he would refund even less because a post was made on social media. I am a working individual and this money was given to me due to my mother’s passing. Due to this individual I have suffered both emotionally and financially.
