Reading plumbing was hired in August 2023 to replace a water main pipe in my front yard! They had to dig up the front yard to get to the pipe! They did all that! The job included restoration to the front yard which was to level the yard and seed/sod it! As of 7/17/2024 this job has not been completed! Repeated attempts to get this done have not produced any results I’ve talked to them 6-7 times this year alone and always get the same response!! “You’re next, you’re at the top of the list, we don’t know why this hasn’t been done”! This is unacceptable ! There have been ample opportunities to complete this job where weather has not been an issue! I need them to finish this job that they’ve been paid for.

Reading plumbing was contacted to come out to investigate a leak on the property. When they were at the house, they stated that the leak was underground and would have to be dug up. A quote was sent to me on Wednesday August 30th for $2300 to dig up my yard and make repairs. On Thursday September 7th they came out and dug up my yard to make the repair. Monday September 11th I received another quote from them for a repair in the amount of $3100, and when I contacted the office to get an understanding of the $3100 estimate, they informed me they did not repair my water line, they simply patched it and it was not up to code so they had to do additional work in order to get it up to code and make a full repair. My water line has only been PATCHED for $2300 billed to me. is still not completely repaired and it is above the frost line per the woman in the office, forcing me to be obligated to make these repairs before it freezes. All phone calls to the facility are recorded. When I asked about why this bill was so high regardless of them not making the repairs they stated in the first quote, I was told that I could just sue the prior owner of my house to get my money back as I had purchased it in June.

On August 19, 2023, ***** ***** called for a service call to investigate a high water bill. Our plumber went out and determined she had a water service leak which he could hear between the meter at the street and before the main shut off valve in the home. At that point we submitted a proposal for a water service repair. She accepted our bid. On September 7, 2023 our crew came out to excavate and expose the water service. We followed the pipe back in the yard and found the leak. The leak was repaired. At this point, the crew showed and explained to ***** what was found under ground. Her water service had been previously repaired and the previous contractor used a flexible supply hose to connect to a 1/2" pipe going toward her house and under the slab. She had stated that she had recently moved into the home. We suggested that she contact her realtor and let them know the situation. We gave a second proposal to replace the existing 1/2" line from our current repair to 25' into her home at the correct depth. The remaining 25' line was only 12" deep toward the house. Our suggestion was to have this replaced due to possibly freezing this winter.

Never did we force ***** to be obligated to make any additional repairs. We feel we did our job and serviced our customer and gave her knowledge so she could make an educated decision on how to proceed.
