I purchased glasses that are defective and eyeglass world will not remedy or refund. The bifocal (according to my independent optometrist - ***********) was set too low in a small frame to be useful. I stopped into their store weekly, complain about the glasses. I can not see! They said I was past the 30 day window and that they would not help me, Even though I was in constant contact with them.Eyeglass World is a rip off and a scam!!!!!! I want a refund! PLEASE HELP! Im out over $1,000.00!! I called corporate to complain, they called the store and told be the exact same wording ... I was past my window for help. I never stopped complaining.Initial Complaint

I went to this eye glass place on 2-26-22 for an eye exam and to purchase new glasses. I was taken back by a tech who did "normal" vision tests prior to the eye doctor ***** When I saw the eye doctor - male - I do not know his name. He never did a thorough exam with lenses to check my vision. He spoke to me about the "readers" that can be bought at ******* cvs eat and asked what strength I would purchase. I had not purchased readers in years. I get an exam and I have worn bifocals for at least 10 years. I asked him why he wasn't doing an exam on my eyes and his response on more then 1 occasion was "I have been doing this for 40 years I know what I am doing and you will get to see just fine". I work in healthcare but not in vision or with eye doctors. I am a *************** Manager with a double major bachelor degree so I am not dumb by any means. I questioned him more then once. He never examined my eyes. I went out to the receptionist after about 10 minutes with this "dr" and she tried charging me $30 for some X-********* never consented to and had no idea my vision insurance didn't pay for it. I then proceeded to watch and hear her charge many other customers who actually paid for this without consent or being informed before hand about this so called "X-ray". I was not charged as I informed them of my rights and what I did for a living and they quickly ushered me out to look at lenses. Needless to say when I went back to get my glasses for pick up I can not see through them for reading or working at work on my computer. I actually have to wear my old glasses. Now I can't get another exam or glasses for 2 years per my insurance policy. I wanted to go see my regular eye doctor but they no longer were in network with my new vision insurance from my job. Now I am stuck with glasses that I can see out of because Eye glass world sees people very 10 minutes and charges people for exams that are NOT done and an X-ray that is NOT needed. Scam total scam!
