I just received a response back from this company stating that they denied my claim for compensation for my stolen camera that the racist tow truck driver ******* had stolen. They lied and said there is a lack of evidence so they don't have to pay me for it. All items including my camera were in the trash bag handed to us with all of our belongings. Even my partner saw that his tools were rummaged through which caused the initial argument, already adding to the fuel that ******* had started with his snarky mouth. He was already being rude and saw an opportunity to get back by stealing. I opened my bag inside and outside of this place. How is that a lack of evidence? They have cameras everywhere! Unless he knew where a blind spot was because there is no way! My car was practically empty since they cleared it out. He took a long time to bring me the car, who knows if the theft happened then or before we arrived! That camera was worth *****! I just got the receipt back from my mother who bought it for me, she confirmed the exact amount. The fact that they allow theft by employees and cover it up is not acceptable. I will also be filing a police report and going to the proper channels to resolve this injustice. I wanted this on record considering that these people do not care. Repossession happens during the lowest times in an individuals life. This was a slap in the face and salt poured on old wounds! My petition is that this place rots and goes bankrupt, and so it is.Business response

I had my car repossessed by equitable services in ******** ********, I can't locate them in your system but I assume they are apart of the home branch in *******. (correction: I did not have the right office for previous complaint, the attached letter shows its for the skokie office.)The man name ******* is a tow driver there and I had a previous complaint for them that has yet to be responded to.In the previous complaint I called him ****** but I had his name incorrect. He was rude the day prior to the repo by telling my partner to chill out over the phone when he asked a valid question about why he had to remove our items and rude and racist the day of. My partner asked him why he tampered with the tools in the car, he was met with ignorance. We understand he needed to remove the items after repo, per law. He then got loud and rude with me and I had to leave because he wasn't going to curse t me and speak to me rudely. He got into an argument with my partner and told him to "leave you black a** "N". Then closed the door. The receptionist and all of the other men there did absolutely nothing. They did nothing when he spoke to me crazy nor when he called my partner(and indirectly, me also) the "N"word. Which tells me that they are all racist. They only told him to leave. I am certain they called the police while we were almost done getting our things and probably tried to make it seem like we were the aggressors when we weren't. We were asking real questions and he became ignorant but racist people tend to use the police as a way to flip the narrative to fit their desired outcome. This will be reported to the news because places like this, hold no space in the world that we live in today.Business response
