We hired this repair service to come out and repair our refrigerator. The technician came out and said "it could be a number of things" but made a small repair. It charged us $285 and said if it doesn't work to contact him. We spent the next few days contacting him, because it did not fix the issues. He came by again and let "pressure out" of the fridge and said it would work. It did not. We have been calling him to come by and fix the problem, and he has now ignored text messages for 5 days and is not returning calls. We'd like some sort of refund on his services because nobody should charge $285 and not fix the problem, and the fact that a business is now blocking our contact is absurd and uncalled for. It is downright robbery and a scam.

*****************, involved with Family Appliance Indiana, was to fix my washing machine. We paid him $115 for the parts on 11/26/21. He returned on 12/3/22 to supposedly fix the washing machine. He started the machine and it seemed to be working. At the end of the load and he was gone (thinking it was fixed), I opened the washer and the plastic has been scraped up really bad. I called him and told him the parts were the wrong size. He asked that I send him the washer sku again and he will order new parts. As the washing machine was inoperable. He said he would come out and put the old parts in for some functionality. He returned and put in the old parts. He took the new parts at they did not fit. He said new parts would be in in about 1 week. In 2 weeks, I called him and left voicemails about every other day for a week. I sent texts on 12/4/21, 12/5/21, 12/6/21, 12/7/21, 12/8/21, 1/1/22, 1/3/22, 2/8/22, 2/11/22, 2/14/22 I have left multiple messages and called. I kept calling and finally he answered and told me he was in jail for previous warrant for his arrest. He said he would be out in a couple days. I did not hear back from him. I kept calling and no answer. My husband attempted once and he answered. We asked for our $280 back and he said he would only refund $200, after negotiation since he never fixed out washer, he agreed on $240. We have yet to receive any money back and it has been 3 weeks. I have reached out to ********** since it was a Zelle transaction and have talked to them 7 times but they will not do anything about it since it was through Zelle. Zelle will not help with a dispute. I have attempted to call and leave voicemails just asking for a refund and move on. We are lost.

November 6th I called to have my washing machine looked at because it was making a pounding noise and not spit in the water out of my clothes. He said he would come look at it and have me a appointment time of 2 to 3pm. At 530pm he had not arrived or contacted me. At 6pm he text me to say he had car troubles and he would be out the next day. He came to look at my washer and said it was the clutch that needed ordered. He said he would only take cash or Venmo. He said he would not order the part for it until he had cash. So we gave him cash at his Saturday appointment and he said that he could get the part and install it on that Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon I asked him if he knew what time he would be coming to put the part in. He said the part wouldnt arrive until 2pm then he would let me know. At 5pm we called and left a message. He called us a few hours later. We explained he is not responding to any of our calls or text messages and that he needs to communicate better. At that time he told us to find someone else to look at it and he would refund our money. He did not allow us to say anything before he hung up. We have been sending him messages ever since and he will not respond to us. We had to have ***** look at it and they said he stripped out a bolt so they could not replace the clutch. Due to the specific bolt being stripped the only way to fix it would be to replace the clutch, transmission, and all of the insides of the washing machine which would be over **** dollars.
