On 6/17/23 glass shower door panel was installed. We paid for $5600 for 3 small glass panels and their installation. Contractor was paid in full that early evening. On 6/19/23 we reached out to contractor about the silicone work on the shower glass door installation. We asked that it be fixed, however that request was ignored. On 7/5/23 we pointed out the silicone in person to glass installer. It was not corrected. On 7/14/23 we posted photos to a social media chatter group, and it was only then that contractor recognized the terrible silicone job. He apologized for the terrible job and said he would fix it himself. We agreed that he would come on 7/21/23 in the morning. On 7/21/23 he texted last minute that he would not make it. We immediately responded via text to reschedule. He did not respond to that text. On 7/24/23 and 7/26/23 we have reached out via text and phone call, and he has ignored all attempts for us to communicate with him. The lack of communication was an issue throughout our entire home remodel. On 2/23/23 we signed our contract for just shy of $40k. We were told the job would be complete within 1 month, prior to the 3/20/23. The job took 4 months. Contractor collected 80% of payment ahead of reaching contractual agreement, and the last 2 months he ignored call and texts and we were lucky to have a team at our home 1 full day a week, despite work not being complete, and us having paid ahead of contractual agreement. We would like contractor to stand by contract and correct the terrible silicone job. We expect the old silicone to be torn out and new silicone to be installed correctly. There are also 2 black pen marks on the marble from door installation that need removed. We expect to have it fixed in a timely manner. If contractor will not correct in a timely manner, we expect contractor to cover the bill of a professional coming out to fix his mistake.
