We reported these issues (pictured) the day we signed the papers for our brand new home purchased for my daughter and grandson to reside in a nice, gated community w/a large backyard in **** October 16, 2023. As of todays date, 1/3/2024 they have still not been resolved. While waiting for them to fix these issues, we reported an **** malfunction when using it for the first time in Nov 2023. As of today's date, 1/3/2024, the **** is still not working. Only 1/2 of the house is getting heat, and my grandson's bedroom is an ice box. It's the middle of winter in ****, and we still do not have a functioning **** system. We have sent many emails, along w/direct messages without resolution. The same tech who was out before and was unable to fix it is coming back on 1/9/2024. Apparently a working **** system is low priority for this company. I tried requesting the tech's license numbers since replacing the panels will involve taking out the ******************** and fixing an **** system which requires certain licenses, but was refused this information, and I was unable to find him online. I was told by *********************: "In the manufactured housing industry, contractors and in-house service technicians work under the manufactures license. We are required to make repairs under our warranty and to use our discretion in doing so. We are prepared to make the necessary corrections to the home and we will use contractors or in-house technicians of our choosing." This house is brand new and under warranty. I don't know how they could sell the home when the **** system never functioned properly.Initial Complaint

Signed contract to purchase a Fairmont Country Manor on January 18, 2022. Advised there is a backlog and will not receive unit until May-June, 2022. Received an email today, March 3, 2022, that there is a 5% increase in the price due to "fuel prices and material prices going out of control". We should not have to pay that increase.Business response

There was a surcharge added to all orders in our backlog that went into effect on 3/3/2022. The crazy increases in all construction materials necessitated this increase.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: they increased the base price of their park models. This increase went into effect after a contract was signed on January 18, 2022, along with a deposit. If I did not abide by the terms of the contract, I would be liable. They should abide by the terms of the contract. That is what a contract is for, correct? How is it legal for them to increase the price after a contract is signed? Its not!Business response

Fairmont Homes did not increase the base price of the unit. There was a surcharge that went into effect on 3/4/22 as I originally stated. I realize that increasing prices do not make anyone happy but at this point they are a fact of life in the current economic conditions. The agreement that the customer signed was between her and the dealer. Said dealer also had her sign an addendum to the agreement which stated that a surcharge may be charged by the manufacturer to the seller and that customer agreed to pay it.
