On 3/18/2024 I went to discount auto glass to get my windshield replaced. I paid 212.32 for the service. Once my boyfriend brought me my car the seal around the window was not sealed and my inspection sticker was not returned to me. I went back Thursday 3/21/24 after I called about the window seal not being secure they first tried to argue and tell me that it’s not an issue and told me the 2 blue broken clips is not from my window and then got it to lay flat against the window. I drove to work and the seal keeps coming up. There is no corporate number to call and I am frustrated that I have to find someone to now fix this issue. I am now out even more money and they act like there is nothing that can be done about the issue. I did not bring my car to them like that so why is it I am supposed to have my car be that way now.Business response

Please have the customer stop back in the shop for our technicians to try to make the side molding lay down better. Please note this car is a 2007 and that after being in the sun and elements for almost 20 years most exterior parts are weathered and do not fit as well as they did when the vehicle was newer. Took my 2019 Tahoe in on May 23rd to the Wichita ks location to have the windshield replaced, came out with paint damage to the hood of my car. They refuse to take responsibility even when I took it up to them 2 hours later the installer couldn't even remember working on my car and tried to tell me I had it in the day before. Then they started saying that there is a class action lawsuit, well my car has nothing to do with that it has perfect paint all over except for one spot now due to them. They sent me a video, they only have 1 camera in the work area and my car is clear on the other side and all you see is the back of the installer, and trying to tell me that you can see he did nothing. Well all I can see is him standing in the area with the damage for a while and all I can see is his back! So you can't make a determination from that. Now my next step is contacting a small claims lawyer. Oh and paid $260 for the windshield work. Picture of the damageBusiness response

We have already explained to this customer as well as shown video proof that there was nothing we did to cause damage to her vehicles paint. In addition we provided her information regarding a class action law suit on defective paint for her year make and model. We have been in business since 1995 and we do not run from our mistakes. This however was not anything that was our doing so therefore we are not paying for it. Thank You, Discount Auto Glass & Tire
