06/26/24 Transaction date My Husband and I paid Heartland Title Company in Topeka KS ***** $1232.00 for closing services for selling our second home **** ******* ** Ozawkie, KS ***** and they are representing us in the process and we were promised that we would get the closing disclosure amounts before the person buying our second home signed her paperwork. We signed our paperwork on our end on 06/14/24, but our Title agent did not have any information or closing disclosure for us when we signed that day to see how much we would be paying or receiving and told us that he cannot give us an estimate or anything until the appraiser on the buyers side does the appraisal on the property and the appraisal occurred that Friday on 06/14/24. We did not have any information from the appraiser until the following Wednesday 06/19/24 and gave us the report and said we had to fix some things on the home before closing on her end which was scheduled on Thursday 06/20/24. So we had to extend the closing to the following Tuesday 06/25/24. I asked numerous times to see the closing disclosure and the title guy did not have any of the numbers. We get a phone call on 06/25/24 from our real estate agent saying we owe $2890 now and the buyer is signing papers at 5:15 on 06/25/24 when I got the phone call at that time that day and still did not have any closing disclosure showing any numbers, they just told me over the phone that amount no information. I called the title agent and he did not return my phone call and sent me the settlement agreement to sign and still did not send me any closing disclosure showing the numbers and expected us to sign the agreement. He then sent me the closing disclosure at 8:30 pm on 06/25/24 to sign and would not return my phone calls and only texted me and tried to have us wire a check over or bringing him a check when their office is closed and the bank is closed as well. We would like to get the amount we paid Heartland Title company back for this.

If you have any questions or concerns, please give me a call during business hours.

We provided you with a settlement statement as soon as it was available to us to share with you.  I apologize it was last minute.

The buyer title company is in charge of preparing the final settlement statement. We explained this to you several times including in person the day you came into our office.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I have already explained why I am rejecting this response. Heartland Title Company treated us unfairly and I have already sent all of the imformation over the last month and the message that I just received today said the same thing as last message from the business owner and I want our money that we paid them for the services they did not promise us to resolve this.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ****
