On 7/24/2024 I went to my local beach for notary services regarding a title signature. The employee refused to assist me with signing correctly because she said she didn't know where it should be signed and didn't want to tell me the wrong place. Immediately after I signed the title, she informed me I had signed in the incorrect place and now must go to the county clerks office for further assistance. I feel this was a disservice by my bank, which shortly will no longer be my bank. Furthermore, this behavior was highly dishonest as, she knew exactly where I was to sign. This refusal to help is highly disappointing and time/money consuming.Business response

We apologize that this situation occurred. We are a financial institution, and notary services are not one of our primary services. That being said, we do sincerely apologize for any lack in customer service that was received. Our customers are first and foremost our top priority. We will be sure to update our training on notary services to hopefully prevent this from happening in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.Initial Complaint

Monday Jan. 8th (phone call from ********* Very rude and accusatory) Tue. Jan. 9th at the bank: A lady named ******* called and was VERY RUDE and Disrespectful to my girlfriend and then myself the very next day when she "told" us to come to the bank, THEN.. in front of everyone, her door was open, asked us "If we brought the money", What money? she said the check. This was a check from Life insurance to me ( the beneficiary).Made us feel like we did something wrong. Again, in front of everyone with her office door open. Accused us of stealing money. Asked us "what happened to the money", we said, We don't know what your talking about, she said, "Oh, I think you do". This lady ACCUSED us of STEALING, again with her door open for everyone in the bank to hear. We had NO clue of what she was talking about. I hadn't even said a word and she told me to "loose my attitude" and asked someone to be in there with her. I have NEVER in my life been made to feel so small for something, I didn't even know anything about. In the end, the president of the bank told her, it was the banks fault, not ours. But now half of the town thinks we stole something. Confidentiality was broken and we feel discriminated against, again and don't even know why? We want to know how she will be reprimanded? We just lost to very special people to us and trying to pay their funeral expenses. There was no reason to be treated like this and again, for what what reason??Business response
