Ordered a carport from this business and was told 5 to 8 weeks for delivery. Put a deposit down of $205.98 Carport was ordered in May 2021 and called several times and was told there was a delay and a shortage on materials every time I called. Called them again in November and was told December 2021. I should see the carport in 6 weeks. Still no delivery of my ordered carport. So I called to cancel the order and was told that my deposit was not being refunded. And they have my name incorrect on the contract too. Probably what they do for everyone to say they have.no contract on them.. After all the calls and being lied to. Terrible way to do business. Poor service.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/25) */ The contract does state the deposit is not refundable. After the initial order is received, we verify with the customer, not only the order details but also scheduling estimations. The customer was given an outdated scheduling estimation and that was explained before progressing the order forward. Many parts of this industry has been effected by supply shortages and covid-19 related problems we have never experienced before. During the verification call we explain our installation times have fluctuated many times since early 2020. One or two changing factors can change an installation time many weeks. Our time frames have been stable since late November of 2021 and this order was to be installed a few business days after the customer called to cancel. These details were relayed to the customer and still wanted to move forward with cancelling the order.Initial Complaint

In April 2021, my husband and I went to ******************* in Corbin, KY and paid a deposit of $970 for a Handiport (Wilson Manufacturing) metal garage. It is now December and they have yet to build the garage. They have told us they'll be here in 1-3 weeks countless times, but never show up. They also increased the price drastically, using material price increases as the reason. The contract states they'll do the job within 3-6 weeks, but it's been 8 months and nothing. They refuse to give a refund even though they haven't followed through with their end of the contract. The most recent time we called and were again given the same time frame for installation, when told this was also said last month, the response from the customer service representative was, "I don't know, that's why my computer says. Bye." The continuous poor experience with Handiport has lead me to find reviews on this business, which are all negative and complaints seem to mostly go unresolved. It's a shame to treat hardworking people this way and simply steal their money.
