I had a **** ***** done by Dr Austin. It did not go well and I had to see him more than once. I had alot of pain after and for months following. I had two insurance companies. I paid him my part before I could be seen. The amount was 477.00. They did not bill my insurance correctly or timely. They, at one point, mailed paperwork to me in error. They billed me for an additional 512.50, in which I had to pay out of pocket. They did turn me in to collections. I was trying to get insurance billed. I did pay the bill myself. I have great credit and didnt want it to affect it. I was upset as they were so wrong about the cost, and I was still in pain. I was not reimbursed. Fast forward to this year, I now am going to have to have a surgery called an *********** and pay out of pocket 1400.00 for the same tooth. I have to be put to sleep and the recovery is long and painful. I will have stitches and swelling. I will have to miss work. The only other option is extraction. The surgeon will not perform it without putting me to sleep, due to the failed **** *****, and possible issues. I will still have stitches and swelling and miss work. The out of pocket cost is over 300. I have seen two specialists. I have contacted other dentists,they will not touch it. I have had **** *****s in the past with no issues. I am horrified that I have to go through this, after all I have already been through to save the tooth. I have plenty of family and coworkers who can verify the truthfulness of this statement. The **** ***** performed by Dr Austin was awful, and cost a huge amount more than the projected amount. I am requesting a refund of the amount I paid out of pocket. I can not afford either surgery option that I now have. No Action is not an option. I am at a very dangerous risk. If I wait, I have been advised of surgery to my jaw, and also infection traveling in my body. I would not have known if not for the xrays. I am so very upset and I am out of options.
