The call it "Friendly" Yamaha but that's a deceiving name. They are anything but. I attempted to buy a 2007 Harley-Davidson from them. The bike was valued at $6999. I applies online and was pre-approved. Spoke to a woman as "*******" in sales the next day after I filled out my online credit application. She asked how much was I willing to put down and since their website indicates with 10% down how much your note would be so I told her $700. She said that would be fine and even went on to say there shouldn't be any problems getting approved. This earlier on a Saturday. They would close at 3:30pm so she said it might might take a day or two to process. They were closed Sunday and Monday. I managed to I touch base with her late on Tuesday and her response was that they still hadn't heard from the bank but she assured me she would call them and find out. A few hours later she texted me and told the bike I wanted had been sold and was there another bike I was interested in. I said yes (I'm sure she was hoping I'd say no). I gave her info on a 2012 Sportster that was a $1000 less. She "great!. I'll run this through and you'll know something in a few hours." I never heard back from her. Now what she didn't know was I had also been contacted by a woman named ****** out of the Slidell office. She had been trying to find out what was taking so long with the approval. Funny thing was, ****** called the bank and they said NOTHING was ever sent in under my name at all. On top of that, the Harley was never sold. I didn't have the best credit score going in so having a hard pull really hit me bad. It pulled it down so I was now under approval scoring. So when the option to re run it under a different lender came up I naturally said no. I'm very familiar with the bait and switch that car and motorcycle companies use to suck you in but for once I thought these people were different. Why the lie and the bait-n-switch ****? Just say my credit wasn't good.

On 05/26/2023, I purchased a 2022 Honda Navi with 999 miles on it for the asking price of $1,699 from Friendly Yamaha in Baton Rouge. I paid $2,411, after tags, title, tax. I was told that I had 30 days to bring the bike back. A few days after I purchased it, I parked the Navi, realizing that I needed a faster bike, the Navi topped out at 50, which was dangerous being I live on a main road. So I began calling and texting the dealership and inquiring about what I needed to bring it back. I called a few times a day and was finally told that I needed to email the sales manager, which I did immediately on 06/06/2023. The next day, I still hadn’t heard back from anyone, so I called again and finally was told to bring the bike back up there. I returned the bike with 1058 miles on it and was told that they would only give me $1,200 back. I was told that they would work with me to get a bike that was a better fit, but they require a credit score of 690, which I didn’t have, however, I did have about $2,500 more in cash to spend. But at the end of it all, even though I was well within the 30 days to take the bike back, I was forced to take the $1,200 and sell the Navi back to them, because they said they didn’t have a bike in my price range.
