I came to get my door speakers fixed because they were rattling. The store talked a good game about how they would fix it.The sales guy talked real good but the work didn’t match. I had to come back twice because the amp wasn’t turning on before I turn on the truck making a loud noise.The bass loses power when I come to a stop I told the technicians about this and no results came out of it. The amp didn’t make my door speakers louder it feels more quiet than ever now. I tried giving them a chance to make it right and apparently they couldn’t do the job and whatever it cost another shop to fix it, they need to pay the difference since they couldn’t deliver on the job.They were able to take my payment but couldn’t deliver the finish product and thats not right.Initial Complaint

Went into Lafayette Custom Automotive on Monday 4-17-23 me and my service dog to have a brush gaurd installed on my truck. I had called prior as was told yes I could come in at 10. Upon arrival I waited a few minutes which was no big deal. My truck was taken to the back and I was told it only should take a short amount of time. After several hours of not being told anything, I advised them that I had to be back home to pick up my son for 1 o’clock, they kept assuring me that they were almost done almost done. I having been a mechanic myself asked to please go see what was going on with my truck. I was not allowed. Well after four hours I was finally told that it won’t fit and that modifications had to be made. I told him that why wasn’t I told this from the beginning instead of making me wait for four hours They told me I either had to pay $200 or leave my brush gaurd there as collateral They did absolutely nothing to my truck except take off my old push bar which was honestly about a 20 minute job to remove. so in four hours all they did was damage my truck by cutting a piece of my frame off on the bottom that had nothing to do with installing a brush guard! I tried reaching out to them via social media, and all they did was skirted around making things right in any way! So now I have a damaged vehicle with a piece of the frame cut. They have MY brush guard that I bought and paid for and I cannot get a manager are anyone to make things right or speak to me! This is no way to run a business and or treat ppl!!!Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I would like to reject the offer of Arbitration for complaint ID 19958778.
Lafayette custom Automotive has not responded at all and i do not except them to do the same for Arbitration. I please ask that what they have done to me be noted and published as so others do not get burned by these scammers!
