I purchased a 2020 mustang from Tyler around May, he told me and showed a carfax where they did an inspection, changed all fluids prior to sell. A few months past I called dealership to see when oil change was due and was notified they had no record of ever doing it. I also found out a lot of other stuff that Tyler didn’t mention. I know all salesman lie to make a deal. I will never buy nothing from them again Mr. Giles you have lying crooks working for you.Giles Subaru Response

Dustin we checked with the technician that performed teh 56 point inspection and he confirms that he in fact he changed the oil on the Mustang you purchased from us. We also reached out to you and asked that you bring your vehicle in so that we could inspect the oil. We set up several appointments with you and unfortunately you did not show for any. We are comited to prividing high quaility service and stand behind every vehicle we sell. We as all companies do make mistakes, but i can assure you, if we are given the opportunity to make it right, we always will. We also give a freee Lifetime Powertrain warranty up to 100,000 miles from manufacture on every pre-owned vehicle we sell, and I also guarantee that if it's not the best vehicle you have ever owened that you can bring it back and exchange it. (within 5 days or 1,000 milles) No other dealer in Acadiana offers either. Giles Subaru has won the J D Powers Dealer of Excellence 5 years in a row, which is a testament to our dedication to customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. Giles Nissan has failed to fix my 2021 Versa. In a matter of 45 days, the car has been in and out of the shop for the same issue. On July 21, the car was picked up and brought back an hour later for the 5th time for the exact same reason as the previous 4 times. According to LA R.S 51, this matter qualified under the Louisiana Lemon Law however Nissan is refusing to replace or repurchase the vehicle. And instead of providing a resolution, I was instead directed to file a complaint with the BBB.Giles Subaru Response

We certainly apologize for the time it took to find the cause and make the repair. In your vehicle's case the cuase of the overheating was a unusual issue that was very difulcult to diagnose. Our technician contacted the Subaru tech line for assistance and with their assistance we determined that it was a bad wiring harness that was causing the cooling fan to not come on. We replaced the wiring harness under warranty on August 11, 2023 and that succesfuly corrected the issue. Again i apologize for the time it took for us to properly diagnose the cause and correct the issue. It is very rare for something like this to happen, but it does happen, and we will always, given the opportunity get it fixed. We also provided a new Subaru loaner for you to drive at no charge while your vehicle was in the shop. I understand that while that is convenient, it is never convenient to have a mechanical issue that takes a long time to diagnose and repari. Giles Nissan Lafayette advertises Free Powertain Pre-owned Lifetime Warranty. Someone tell me the definition of "Lifetime".... webster's dictionary of that word is "The Duration Of A Person's (or in this case, a car) Life", "The Duration Of A Things Existence Or Usefulness". They proceed to tell me that it's 100,000 miles...if it takes a lifetime to get to that 100,000 miles, then it's for life....but if you get to 100,000 miles in 17 months, then it's no longer under warranty. Talk about FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! Then they say we can't come off the asking price at all (not a penny!) because I'm paying cash (I thought I was doing the right thing by telling them right off the bat that I'm paying cash....I shouldn't have said anything about it before negotiating a price I guess) and they don't make any profit (or very little) from someone paying cash vs someone financing. So does that mean that someone financing is more important then I am?...their money is better??? Y'all don't do any business with Giles in Lafayette...I drove 1.5 hours just for them to lie and try to take advantage of me.Giles Subaru Response

we aplogize for any misunderstanding on our Lifetime Powertrain warranty. We properly disclose that on a pre-owned vehicle the warranty is good for as long as the purchaser owns the vehicle or until the vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. This disclosure is included with the photos of every pre-owned vehicle we sell. On the new vehicles we sell the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty has no mileage limit or time limit for the original owner.Giles Subaru Response

I have been researching Corvettes for a year and am now in the process of purchasing one. I saw one I liked at Giles used cars, a 1998 model. I emailed them about the e price on it and got a response from salesperson ******* *****. He did not give me a price. I live only a couple miles away so I went to look at it. Mr ***** told me I COULD NOT test drive it, because he didn’t want me joyriding. He said I could drive it further along in the purchasing process. I am in my 50’s, definitely not out for a joyride. I looked at him and said I’m no longer interested. If you are buying a 24 year old car, you need to drive it, for an extended time and get a trusted mechanic to inspect it before you even consider buying it. I purposely dressed in an older shirt and cargo shorts to see if I’d be taken seriously and I wasn’t. You won’t see me again Giles and I’m going to tell about my experience on social media.Giles Subaru Response

Greg i sincerely apologize for our sales person not allowing you to test drive the Corvette. I completely agree with you and he should not have refused your request. We have never trained our sales staff to judge whether a person is qualified to purchase or test drive any vehicle that we have offered for sale. Our only requirment is that the sales person gets a copy of the person taking the test drive, drivers license, and the sales person drives first, and used our planned demonstration route. This is to protect the safety of the customer along with our sales staff.Review from stuart H

Brought my 2020 subaru outback in for routine 24k mile oil change and service expecting complementary manufactures service given me at delivery of the vehicle. my daughter dropped the vehicle off and picked it up. the service dept decided to do a 30 k mile service and flush and replace the brake fluid. i was charged 427.50$ for the oil change/tire rotation i wanted and the brake fluid system flush that i didnt want. i was not informed that the visit would not be complimentary at vehicle drop off. they had my cell phone number and text me with updates during the visit. they charged 250$ in labor. Do not use Giles Subaru for service. Outrageous predatory pricing and addition of unwanted not indicated services.Giles Subaru Response

Robert’s daughter came in for her service appointment. After reviewing the video, you can see and hear that she was quoted for the service to be performed on her vehicle. She agreed to the price and to the service that was to be performed. She then signed the form to pre-authorize the work on her car. We didn’t promise or state that there would be free maintenance at the time of delivery as we were not the selling dealer. Please have the customer reach out to me so that I can provide him with the video and paperwork.
