I went there for a nail service on 2-24-2024. After my service I proceeded to pay with a gift certificate. When I proceeded with payment I was notified that my certificate expired on 12-24-23. I received the gift certificate a year prior for Christmas so the manager said that it has to be used with in one year of purchase. Ive never heard of a gift certificate or gif card expiring so quickly. According to Federal Gift Card Law the federal Credit CARD Act of 2009, gift certificates and store gift cards can't expire for 5 years. (15 U.S.C. 1693l1). This is also true for the state of *********. I feel as though this business is trying to take money without giving service. The manager was rude, not understanding and didnt care about anything but telling me there is nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to someone else and she said there is no one else. Someone paid $50 for my service and I wasnt able to collect. Also, there are no prices on the services that they provide so each time I go there Im charged extra because the prices went up. They should list the prices of all services and charges so customers can be prepared to pay a certain amount. The manager was rude and not caring of the situation at hand. All I could hear was oh well nothing we can do youve lost your $50. Lastly, I think its crazy to pay $70 for a gel refill on your hands. They did take $8 off because the guy that did my nails confirmed that they were charging me too much. So With all the extra fees, I paid $62. Mind you this is for a gel refill not a full set if you know anything about nails. So the shape and length was already there I just needed a touch up smh. I would like $50 of my $62 that I paid to honor my $50 gift card. I do not want any other service or credit from this establishment as I do not want to give them my service because of the awful way I was treated and I feel like they are scamming customers.Customer response
