Not only is ********************* a scam artist in Mass, he now has opened another business in ***************, ******* called Drain Kings. I cant imagine all the people he will steal from down there. Not sure how he will ever be stopped but I feel for anyone who has had to deal with him and will have to going forward.

This company and owner are a scam. Please be aware. In addition to canceling appointments without notice multiple times YOU will likely get a FRAUDULENT inspection of your main stack pipe. The company uses an online photo and tells you that is your stack. It is not. They never come to the house and insert the camera they say they did (I was home with company visiting the whole time). Then I googled what the photo should look like and saw exact same photo!!! No shame. Then the owner says you need to fix it before it gets hard. Then asks for ******* deposit for chemicals.

Same story, same song and dance. Clogged drain, super friendly guy, takes your money and never shows up again. R.i.c.h.i.e. ******** of JBL Drain Specialist is a scammer. Takes your money and disappears. Don't pay him a dime. Had to *** to recover my deposit. He told me he is an honest person and kept using a term to my children, I am an honest person, but upon talking with his ex-wife, I'm pretty sure he's not allowed to see his children any more. Feel bad for the guy but we can't have a scammer like this operating in the community.

Richie S (aka *************, JBL Drain Specialist) is big scammer. Back in November I had a clogged sewage line at a residential property in Marlborough, so I called and hired Richie S (also operates under the name ************* as well as JBL Drains Specialist) to fix the problem. He told me that he would guarantee “100%” that with his large snake machine he could unclog the line. I paid $549.00 and after having the appointment set for 3:30pm he showed up almost two hours later. After one hour and multiple attempts using the snake machine, the failed to unclog the sewer line…it remained clogged. Immediately thereafter, he told me that he needed to inspect the line with a video camera so he could identify the exact problem and location, and that service would cost and additional $269.00. He assured me that once he identified the type of clog, he would be able to solve the problem. I paid the additional fee, and he came back next day (that is after he canceled and rescheduled the original appointment). He attempted to inspect the line, but nothing could be seen since the line was clogged, full of water, toilet paper and other waste. As a professional (a better label for him is actually “unprofessional”), he should have known that a clogged sewer line full of toilet paper and other waste could not be inspected via video. At that point he told me that he was 100% sure that the clog was due to grease and the way to correct the problem was to use a jet machine to clean the line. He told me that to jet the line would cost $1,188.00 and he would guarantee “100%” that this method would work, and he would provide one year warranty. He told me he is an honest person and kept using a term “to my children, I am an honest person”, so I paid the full amount by transferring the money to his Bank of America account via Zelle. After canceling and rescheduling several appointments he came back with jet machine mounted in a trailer, and spent one hour trying to jet the line but failed. At that point he told me he needed to buy a cable as well as new header for the jet machine because the situation with this sewage line was complex and needed to be done in certain way, which was nothing short of a lie and dishonesty—the line is only 30 ft and is straight from the house to the street. He demanded and additional $1,115.00 for these “special” parts/equipment, otherwise he could not do the job—he was basically refusing to do the job unless I paid him additional money. At first, I refused but since I needed the work done and had already sunk a bunch of money into this dishonest and liar pocket, I decided to transfer the full amount money to his Bank of America account via Zelle. More than two weeks passed, and he agreed to a day and time to return and do the job, but like 10-12 times prior, he never showed up. I made multiple attempts to call him, but he blocked me. I texted him multiple times, but he never responded. In summary, I paid Richie Shaw a total of $3,121.00 and got nothing in return, and later had to contact a real professional and honest organization come over and do the job. BTW. JBL Drains Specialist which is one of the business names he uses to scam customer does not even appear as a legit business in the Mass Secretary of State database) I highly discourage you from hiring Richie S; ************* and JBL Drains Specialist, but if you decide to go ahead, my recommendation is for you to pay him with a credit card, so if he acts as dishonest as he did with me (an many others that have written reviews), you can dispute the charges with your credit card company.
