Contractor injected waterproofing epoxy into basement walls and floors and this did not stop the water from entering the basement after the 2 week settling period. Contractor stated that if there was a problem with water still coming in to call him and he would come reinject more epoxy. The contractor also states the all work carried out comes with a lifetime warranty . Contractor has been avoiding my emails, phone calls and text messages. I have not be able to get in touch with him at all since 4/19/24.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I have attempted to contact them everyday via text, phone call and or email and have heard nothing back. What is my next option?Initial Complaint

I paid Stonewood Foundations $18,000 to waterproof my basement. I researched them and they were 5 star rated on Thumbtack. The very expensive treatment SUPPOSEDLY came with a Lifetime, Transferable Warranty. They indicated that they would come back for me or any future owner if we got water in the basement again. This is why I paid this exorbitant amount, as I had thought this would be a selling feature when I am ready to sell.Less than 2 weeks after the project was complete and the payments were made, our basement was full of water again. Initially, ******************* was ghosting me when I called and sent them pictures of our very wet basement. I escalated to the only other person I had information for, their Finance *************************. After which, I did get a call from ****. When I initially spoke to **** in Early May, I was told that if they could not fix it they would Refund my money. Then he told me they had a family emergency. I was also told that bad weather had them behind in their schedule, so they could not return to redo the waterproofing process until June 3rd. I live in *******, so I text **** last week to confirm they would be here yesterday. I got a text response from **** confirming that they would be here. Because of this situation was stressing out my 82 yr old mother who lives in the house, I flew from ******* to ************* yesterday so that I could deal with the contractor myself. Unfortunately, they were a total NO CALL/NO SHOW/NO RESPONSE to multiple texts, phone calls and I even went back into Thumbtack app and sent a message through here. I still have received NO response.I told them if I did not hear from them by COB yesterday, I was filing a complaint with BBB and Thumbtack (since I used this TRUSTED app to get this contractor).I feel like I have been SCAMMED! At this point, I dont want them to fix it, I just want my $18,000 back so I can find a reputable company to solve our basement water issues.Customer response
