My complaint is against MIT Federal Credit Union; and their refusal to adequately communicate with me and regarding the return on funds which were fraudulently withdrawn from my account.Brief History:On October 26th 2023; $3,999.99 was fraudulently withdrawn from my MITFCU checking account via an ACH withdrawal.Immediately following my awareness (on Oct 27th) of this fraudulent withdrawal I contacted MITFCU ****** Services immediately @ ************. I was instructed by the member services representative to submit an AFFIDAVIT OF UNAUTHORIZED/ IMPROPER ACH DEBIT ACTIVITY, which I did directly.Since this incident happened; I have made multiple inquiries to MITFCU member services, both via email and phone, to determine what is the status; and how and when will my funds be returned. Communication with member services has been quite futile; and at times I get the sense that nothing is being done. I am usually left with a statement from *******; were waiting to hear back. (???) Often, I get no response to my messages. !Business response

As an *** alum I got a lot of advertisements from the MITFCU. I needed an account for hobby income and decided to give them a try and open a savings account. Due to COVID I did not have any hobby income the last couple years. In July I got a statement showing that I had been charged $5/mo inactivity fee the last 6 months. No prior notice, no prior statements, and this was a SAVINGS account. I called, they said "you didn't read the fine print, sorry." I closed the acct immediately, #*****. They sent a check but kept the $30. I want it back since they sent no notice that the account went into inactive status.Customer response
