      On December 22nd and 30th of 2021, I handed the owner of South Shore Homeworks, LLC two checks amounting to nearly $10k for the purchase of windows and a door with sidelight that were scheduled to arrive in the Spring. Nearly, 12 months later, he has only installed 4 windows with problems that do not match our discussion. The licensed contractor stopped responding to phone, email, and text messages requesting information regarding completion of work, status of goods, a full accounting of services, and proof of purchase forcing me to hire a lawyer to seek answers and file a police report.SSHW: Failed to provide a final contract with a detailed description, start and completion date, and total price. in accordance with State Home Improvement Contractor law. Entered into an agreement to provide services without a signed written contract violating HIC law. Failed to obtain a building permit in accordance with state building regulations and did not inform the homeowner that it was necessary. Failed to procure and deliver ALL goods as discussed Failed to communicate Failed to start and complete work. Failed to properly install windows in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and standard construction practices. Failed to respond to Lawyers request for proof of purchase, full accounting. and restitution plan. Failed to follow through on promises to me, police ******** ******** to procure goods or refund money.This companies deceptive business practices & false promises resulted in financial losses due to rising ********************** costs and the expense of a lawyer. It delayed other work on my home setting me back a year. Many sleepless nights due to stress and anxiety of being defrauded out of thousands of dollars.

      This is a response to the bbb in regards to a complaint made by one, *************************. In late December of 2021, south shore Homeworks, Llc accepted payment for 5 window units and one door as ***************** describes. This was after ***************** Accepted a proposal from sshw via QuickBooks and a third on-site visit was conducted. After a very busy winter/spring of 2022 *************************** met ***************** on site to review a completion plan based on having to reorder one window and door unit due to supply line issues.

          ***************** agreed that work should commence in early November, however shortly after she asked sshw not to re order the units. Meanwhile sshw had installed the 4 units that did come in on time and also replaced contaminated wall board in one of Miss ******* guest rooms as a show of good faith and understanding for being patient while supply line issues were out of sshw control.

            Sshw never requested a building permit from the town of Pembroke as the work to be performed was a direct repair to the home. The previous units were installed improperly and were leaking into the home demanding repair.

          This being said the work performed by sshw at Miss Bartons home was left incomplete due to  a mutual agreement that third party council was needed. ***************** has been refunded in full for all materials that were not delivered to her and sshw has not accepted a dime for labor, including the countless hours invested, also including the hours above and beyond in good faith beyond the scope of work.

      Regards
      Manager: *******************;
