My appointment was for a donation pick up. It was a 10a-1200n appointment. They showed up at ****** was a small desk for donation. Their website showed a $99 fee but they said it was for a small chair size. They quoted me $177. I showed them a chair which was near by it was just as wide as my desk. They still wouldnt lower the price. I have done business with them before, they moved a whole house full to our present home plus 2 other donations. But this is unacceptable!! All phone numbers were connected to a phone center, the agent said he didnt have their phone number??

My 7 mile moving experience with College Hunks recently occurred in ********, *******. The move was a nightmare, consisting of numerous household goods left at the point of origination without any explanation, a significant number of broken and missing items topped off by a surprise price, increase at the end of the move, because they underpaid and underestimated the job. The compensation structure for broken and missing items is an absolute joke. . Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this outfit

This company is unreliable; the manager is utterly disrespectful and offensive in his use of language to customers after having received payment. During a public health pandemic (COVID19), the mover states upon arrival that he is sick and doesn't think he can complete the move, in addition to having arrived more than 3 hours outside of the estimated window of arrival. He took of shirt dropped on the floor of my apartment, then began slowing moving the smallest items. Fortunately, the move was only downstairs in the same building and no truckloads or off loads were required. 10 minute into the move he said, he has to take a break or "puke all over the stairs." After taking a break, he returns to inform me that they cannot complete the move, in doing so he was using expletives/profanity in the presence of my family members. He called his manager, then asked me for payment, process my payment and left. I contacted his manager who told me that my move "was a priority because it was an afternoon appointment." I asked when they would complete the move. He said the next day between 8AM-9AM. They never arrived; did not contact me to inform me that they were not going to complete the move; didn't answer the phone when I called. Not only could I not move out because the moving company abandoned me, the new tenant who arrived with her furniture on a moving truck, could not move in on her specified date/time to move in, College Hunks did not complete the move the next day, as promised, so the new tenant's move was delayed for a second day also. No customer should ever experience a horrible moving company that would do this to two single young women who were at the mercy of these movers (one needing to move out and the other unable to move in) who were negligent, belligerent and abandons customers after arriving onsite. I paid the company as required, but a sick employee should never have arrived to attempt this move, which resulted in a breach of contract. Such *************

I would give them zero, Scratch up furniture on the first move. The second day they destroyed our refrigerator door and ice water dispenser. As well as our entry door. There response was they would send some one to fix the furniture and gave us a name and number to call and if we get no answer to text. Their response for the refrigerator they said federal law only requires them to pay .60 cent per pound for damage. They said they would credit ******. They never offered to fix our entry door. We tipped the guys 150 the first day and only 2 guy the second day ***** and the other guy ***** , because he was the only one moving the frig by himself . The two other guys were at the truck in a hurry to leave. I had to help him with the dolly and refrigerator, so he wouldnt get hurt. They use the phrase Federal Law The dont know to much. OSHA requires water for company worker as well as proper PPE. We gave the guys water and Gatorade both days. No steel toes , no back braces , no gloves etc I will contact OSHA , but they only fine if they do a Audit or if someone dies. Its Sad , but that is why, so many people get hurt. No one enforcing the rules until people are seriously injured or if someone dies. I guess the .60 cent federal law they told me about was a scrap price on a 1 and 1/2 year old refrigerator still under warranty they have enforced, but I am sure OSHA want fine them. Oh well good old Justice system.
