11/18/23 This contractor violated contract on the following; The products on the contract ie Windows/screens were not the materials that were placed or pass inspection. Shingles were not the material stated in contract.Placed windows into rotting wood when had termite damage per contract would replace rotting wood. Also this contractor is only licensed for roofing, not a contractor. The name on the permit pulled at the town hall is not the said contractors name. The scope of the work on permit and estimate does not match.

Customer told us not to proceeded with work after verifying that the shingle color wasnt what she wanted. No shingles were installed at that point and a simple material swap would have taken care of the problem.
Customer had only paid a 30% of the contract. That money was used to purchase the windows and to pay for their installation.
We considered the contract nulled and the windows payment fulfilled with the 30%, despite the original cost being higher.
Not sure what customer claimed when saying that the permit is under someone elses name.
We are licensed to do roofs and our HIC granted us permission to install windows.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.
The contractor did not use the quoted materials. When asked to correct it he stated thats what I am using. The color was not even close to the major issues. He  charged for ten windows and put in six under-rated replacements that will not pass inspection for this area. He also was trying to use white cedar shingle of the cheapest quality not triple dipped red cedar.
Even my down payment was overpayment for the quality and labor for the work he has done. He actually left my property more exposed to weather, by improper insulation of the windows.

Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.

Customer is completely misinformed on her claims.
No wrong material was ever used in this project.

      Windows:
The contract states Mezzo replacement windows, which were provided after being approved by the ******************* (see attachment for specs submitted along with the permit application).
10 Window units were provided and installed:
      4 Double windows
      2 Single windows.

Windows were proper installed and sealed. No further work was done since we were told to leave her property

      White ***** Shingles:
The contract states the use of White ***** Shingles, twice and in bold letters (please
      see attachment).
There is no such a thing as Triple Dipped Red *****.
Customer currently has White ***** Shingles on her house, as can be seen on the pictures provided by her on this complaint, and that was what we were trying to match.
We provided A+ Maibec White ***** Shingles to this job. They never left their boxes and were never installed since the customer didnt like the color we brought.
A simple material swap would have taken care of this issue.
Customer still owes this company $2,475.00 for the unpaid balance of the windows.
