      My complaint and experience is exactly the same as ones mentioned before. Be aware of Talbots express shipping. It does not work and is just shy of a scam. The order page states "arrives by" when you place your order and choose Express shipping. I often use this option but have found that the items do not arrive by this date but rather several days later. When you call or chat with Talbots about this they say that it is only an estimate and they refer you to their shipping policy page. This is not mentioned at all when you place your order and spend an extra $18.95. If the order contains multiple items they will often ship one item with express shipping and the remainder of the order with the slowest ground shipping. When you inquire and tell the customer service representatives about this they refuse to reverse the express shipping charge and refer you to their shipping policy page instead of agreeing to honor the "arrive by date". I am a 30 year premier Talbots card holder and I am severely disappointed with their latest practices. Hopefully the BBB can help resolve this dishonest unacceptable practice.

      We purchased a couple of tops from Talbots.com and upgraded and paid extra on our shipping because we needed it by a certain date. Their checkout page allows you to select and purchase shipping method by offering 3 "Arrives by" dates. It turns out those dates are just random dates and doesn't mean anything according to Talbots customer support team. Once I learned my order will arrive 3 days after their promised date, I reached out to them to find out what happened. Their customer support rep just kept pointing me to their shipping policy page stating 3-6 business days. We told them their checkout page doesn't mention anything about 3-6 business days, and we made our choice and paid extra based on the information (date) they promised on their checkout page. On top of it, we found out they shipped our order via **** ground (cheapest option available) even though we paid for premium shipping and their system states it was shipped via **** priority. All in all, very frustrating experience all around.

      Warned. I ordered a pair a shoes for a wedding. I choose Express Shipping for $19.00. They choose without informing me to ship the item from a store instead of the warehouse. Shoes did not arrive on the stated date. They were posted to arrive 2 days late. Too late for wedding. Do not believe the website on shipping dates even if you pay for it. Horrible shipping policy and not to be trusted.

      I walked into Talbots in *******, *************************, and the store clerks were so interested in their return customers they did not even know I was in the store. I found that their customer service and selling skills are below average. I am a Store Manager from ***********, ** and It was very bad. No hello, how are you doing, or even can I help you? Was it because I was a Black women???????That is the 1st and last time I will ever step foot in that Talbotts store, they are definately raciest !!!!!

      Be careful. Talbots provides only partial credit for returns. We returned merchandise, received only partial credit for the return, and by the time we realized it, Comenity (the company that handles the Talbot Credit Card) had charged us a late fee and dinged our previously excellent credit rating. We followed up both with Talbots and Comenity but they were clearly more interested in charging late fees than in customer service. The result is that we paid over $70 for in exchange for no merchandise from Talbots. We have closed out our Talbots account and will never go back to Talbots again. We recommend that nobody get a Talbots credit card account.

      Talbots is not what it used to be. The quality and fit of even the most basic items is poor. Save your money and frustration. Shop elsewhere.

      My mother in law order a 2 Misses 10.5 inseam pair of shorts that was purchased on sale, final sale. Upon receipt of package they sent her a 2P 9.5 inseam. The shipping label clearly stated 10.5 inseam but the product was a 2P 9.5 Inseam. When trying to return for the correct size both in store and via online and phone customer service she was denied and they said there wasn't a difference between a 2P and a 2 misses. When pointing out this difference from prior experience they disregarded the valid point and then began to say they both have the same SKU. We were able to uncover that too was a lie. Then they claimed my mother in law selected the wrong size when ordering online because there weren't any 2 misses 10.5 inseams left. Aha! The bottom line is that they ran out of the size my mother in law purchased and then gave her the regular 2 petite 9.5 inseam instead, and then blamed her for the selection. We have the photos of the paperwork.This company is doing everything they can do to cover up their mistakes and refuse to do right by the customer. They eventually refunded her money, but she had to pay shipping for the return. I must reiterate, this was their fault. Finally, they never admitted wrong and continue to place blame on my mother in law. How infuriating. My wardrobe is basically all their product. I'm not sure that will be the case moving forward.

      HORRIBLE. Where is the "less than one star?" Talbots has a 60 day return policy, but they do not honor it. I provided them with my purchase date, and a photocopy of the return shipping receipt specifying when the product was received at their warehouse. WELL WITHIN THE 60 DAYS. They are dishonest, and immoral.

      I purchased $500 worth of clothing and tried to return (with receipt) a pair of skinny jeans that I wore once. They were poorly made and the stretch went out in odd places immediately. They would not return them because I wore them and the store manager said they could not resell it. Of course they couldn't. I bought a poorly made, broken product. I was very disappointed. She could see I was a good customer.

      Used to be great. Employee tried to stick her hand under the blouse I was trying on in the try/on room to read the label!! Creepy. But turns out.$20 coupon applies to Tees by ****** not Talbot Tees. Maybe safer for personal protection to shop online.
