I am filing this complaint due to an advertisement on People Scanner website. I have sent them several emails requesting that they remove my name and address from their website, but they have not removed my information. I stated on the emails that their advertisement is a safety concern for me and I asked them to remove it, but my request has not been honored. I am asking for assistance with this issue from the Better Business.

This person is looking for a new website that has a name very similar to ours. They want PPLSCANNER.COM that sells people searches and has an opt out at their website. We are NOT affiliated with them in any way.

We are peoplescanner.com and we do not provide people searches.

I am rejecting this response because I have found another address that I believe is linked to this company. It is People Scanner
599 ************************************************. I have tried to have them remove my information because it is a safety concern for me and they refuse to respond to my requests. I am asking the BBB to please assist me with this matter. I have also attached copies of the emails that I sent to them regarding this issue.

      Thank you,

In this womans updated response, she states she found another address linked to our company. I agree the address she found is linked to our company. It is our physical address. It is listed in the contact us section of our website. I am unsure why she says she found this address. It is freely available to all at our website.

What she refuses to acknowledge is that she has never had any business with Peoplescanner.com.Her problem is with another company that uses a similar URL of PPLscanner, com.  Again, we are not nor have ever been affiliated with that website. We hadnt heard of the company until Monday. I assume it is new website. We are exploring legal action against them.

The real story is why is she is trying to prove we are affiliated with this other website. Is she trying to damage our reputation? This is the only conclusion I can come to. A reasonable person would be complaining about the company she has the problem with. Not wasting time trying to prove anther company with a similar URL is involved in her matter.
She should stop emailing us and refile the complaint against the proper company.
