I did not renew my contract with Devaney Energy when I received it in Oct. I hired a less costly provider in Nov to fill my tank which which was empty. The new co. Filled my tank in Nov. I called Devaney in late Nov/early Dec to reiterate that I was no longer utilizing their service due to the cost and to confirm their current pricing to compare with my new provider. I expect they acknowledged the cancellation by not refilling tank (that as far as they knew was empty) until they randomly arrived on Dec 27th - (months into the cold season) and put 83 gallons into my tank. They charged me $4.60 a gallon as opposed to the $3.29 a gallon that my new provider was charging. I called to ask why they topped off my tank. They said my service was never cancelled. I said that it was and if what she was saying was true- why then did they leave me on empty through Dec. they had no answer. I offered to prove my current charges and to pay them my current cost of $3.29 a gal. Many many phone calls later there has been no response. I continue to receive bills from Devaney with additional late charges. The company clearly mistakingly topped off my tank months after the service was Cancelled. Without a doubt it was a scam to invoice me and force me to pay for the cancelled service at their inflated cost.

******************** inquired about oil pricing in October of 2023 never asking to be removed from automatic delivery. He then asked us to remove his service policy coverage on December 8, 2023, and never asked to be removed from automatic delivery. Devaney Energy has done nothing wrong in this issue but in an effort to close things out, we will adjust the bill and resend a new one.

Regrettably, this company has proved to be unsatisfactory to engage in business with. In September, I was presented with a promotion that included a complimentary tune-up for new customers with an oil fill-up. Upon completing the necessary online form, I conversed with a representative who arranged for my initial delivery and scheduled the free tune-up for December 2023. However, in January 2024, I was billed $658.86 for the tune-up. Following a discussion with a representative who consulted with *****, the supervisor, I was assured that the issue was a mistake on their part.Subsequently, on March 1, 2024, I received an invoice with an additional finance charge of $9.74, bringing the total to $668 for the supposed complimentary tune-up that was originally advertised as free for new customer oil fill-**** I found it perplexing that I received only the tune-up service without any oil delivery, for which I was billed separately.Upon requesting to speak with *****, I was informed that I was ineligible for the promotion due to my failure to opt for auto delivery during the initial form submission. I argued that I should have been informed of this requirement beforehand, but ***** disregarded my concerns by stating that the company cannot operate without payment.Due to the miscommunications and lack of transparency, I have been held liable for the charges. Additionally, I raised the issue of an unauthorized hard inquiry on my credit report, which was also dismissed. I believe it is imperative to caution other potential customers about the poor customer service, unwillingness to address customer grievances, and misleading practices demonstrated by this company.

The customer was offered a free service policy to sign up with Devaney Energy which requires automatic delivery. The customer was on will call which removes the service policy. A tune up was scheduled and the work was done on a time and material basis.

Upon review, Devaney Energy has decided to remove the charge from the account and they have a zero balance.

In a letter dated June 12, 2023, I informed ******* Energy that I was cancelling my service effective immediately. A delivery of 85 gallons was made in early August despite a) my earlier notification of cancelation and b) the fact that I did not need a delivery. Upon receiving the bill for $407.49, I called ******* Energy/Devaney and spoke to a customer service representative. Unfortunately, that woman was unable to assist me and indicated she would elevate the issue, but I never heard from anyone and the issue was not resolved. After receiving yet another bill, I emailed Devaney on October 6th but, again, did not receive a response. On October 26th, I sent a physical letter but, again, not response. I finally used the website to try to resolve the issue, but never heard. I am going to pay the bill because i don't want them to adversely impact my credit, but Devaney is charging $1+ more per gallon than my new provider so I would like I refund on the difference.

On 12/21/21 I purchased my home on Farquhar St., but I was not in the area. I was notified by a family member that the heat in the home on the first floor was not working, and had a plumber come by to have a look. He stated he didn't work on oil systems, but that maybe the system needed to be drained. I contacted Devaney since they were the service provider for the previous owner, and was told by Chris that I was out of oil and would need a delivery asap. He also noted that they would not deliver the oil unless I signed a service contract. After having the oil delivered, the system still didn't work, and I contacted them several times. Each time a tech came by, purged water all over the basement and the system worked for about 30 minutes before dying again. The final tech that came said it was obvious there was a leak in the boiler and it would need replacement, not a repair. I received bills for the "service" calls as well as the oil that I am unable to use. I tried to contact Devaney and spoke with Chris to explain that I was not intending to pay these bills, that I had no heat in my home and that I was not using their company for anything future, and asked that they come take the oil back since I was not going to be able to use it. Our conversation did not go well and I asked to speak with a more senior employee, and never received a return call from anyone. I then emailed the company with the same details and asked them to work with me to come up with a fair resolution, and have received no response. I am not trying to get something for nothing, but I do not want, nor did I need the oil that was delivered, and interesting enough, it was Chris who told my real estate agent a few days before that there were 120 gallons in each of the tanks, which were both filled to the brim based on him telling me that we had no oil. He also had said he would have a guy deliver 5 gallons on the day I called him, with the delivery the next day. Didn't happen, and no heat.

Devaney Energy keeps . sending me bills for heating oil and propane that they never delivered I am a senior citizen collecting veterans disability so I am home all the time except when I am taken ti doctor's appointments Their trucks have not come up my driveway to deliver any of their products. It is a long driveway 300 plus feet and you have to come up to reach my tanks. In the past when they have provided me with either propane or heating oil they have left a slip with the amount, the price, and the number of the truck. One the last propane and the last two oil deliveries known was left. One of the truck's on board camera's shows that the truck parked on the street in front of the house in front of me. The hose would not reach my tanks. I told them I was not paying for oil and propane I did not receive. They told me I was going to be charged interest , late fees and my repairs fuel assistance was going to pay for will not be done. They think by threating me I will fold. They have proven their drivers lied. I am again contacting fuel assistance because I believe they are committing fraud.
