I brought my car for an oil change on February 18, 2023 which at that time I was told that Kia of Dartmouth service center could not give me my car back because the brake lines which were under warranty, had a recall and they needed to repair. My car was kept at the shop for repairs. When I picked it up, a few days later a noise was noticed coming from under the car. Apparently the shield under the car was not secured properly and it was touching the ground and in turn causing damages. I called to have it checked and replaced but Kia of Dartmouth refused to pay for expenses. This dealership is damaging customers property ir and then refusing to cover the repair costs. What can I do!Customer response

Didnt make a week and the check engine light came on , brought it back , they said we need a new engine . Was approved for a new engine , 3 weeks later still no site of getting the car back today told we are 7th in line and the 1st car has been waiting since November, so paying a car payment and a rental they wont give a loaner and we have to pay for out of pocket retail for months . My car has been at the dealership for about a month. They claim the part is on backorder and do not know how long it will take to get the part. They will not reimburse me for an auto rental until the car is repaired. I do not have the money to keep paying for a rental and pay my rent and other bills. The Dealership has been very rude and not offered any type of assistance. I have also call the corporate *** headquarters and they has also offered very little assistance. Each time I call they keep saying there is nothing they can do.Initial Complaint

To whom it may concern,My car was towed to the Kia of Dartmouth location after suffering a seized engine on January 23,2022 due to the engine recall class action settlement. I have called *** on a weekly basis to get information regarding my vehicle. I have been told repeatedly the kit needed to fix my vehicle has not arrived and is on back order and could potentially take months to come in. They have not provided me with any replacement vehicle or car rental. I have been coming out of pocket for a rental to get to work and bring my daughter to school. I also have been paying my car payment even though I do not have my vehicle to drive or a replacement provided from a *** *********** I have already paid $2,100 in rental fees for the last month and can not afford to pay out of pocket for another month or more, while also paying my car payment. *** has not been helpful or working with me to resolve the issue and it is costing me a lot of money. Im hope to speak with someone shortly, Thank you!*********************
