I was asked by my daughter and son-in-law to co-sign for a vehicle. I agreed whereby my son-in-law would be the buyer. When we entered the finance office, there were 5 people present when I asked the finance officer that I was indeed the co-signer and she said yes. All of us in that office heard my question so now the papers were signed. Somehow, the finance officer placed my name as the buyer. I saw no signs that I was placed as the buyer! But that is just what they did. We believe they did this because my credit score was much higher than my so-in-laws credit. I did not know this until after 30 days when I received a bill in the mail for the 1st monthly payment. I was lied to and have 3 witnesses to prove this but my name is on the buyer line so they cannot be prosecuted for scamming me. In fact, the dealership did not give anyone ANY signed papers after the transaction? It is an unfair practice and I hope there are no others to through what has happened to me. I am now responsible for a $38000 vehicle that I don't have in my possession.Business response

At no time was the customer or co signer advised of the signing being anything different than the documentation attached and signed. The only way we could get financing for this customer was the way they structured it and applied for credit. Many many documents have been signed by applicant and co-applicant. This complaint has never been made in all of the thousand's of transactions we have made at Haddad Subaru. To be clear, whether you are a co signer or main applicant you are responsible for the whole amount of the loan.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:"The only way we could get financing for this customer was the way they structured it and applied for credit."
This response by Haddad Subaru shows how their practice of how they deceived me by placing me as the buyer. This is in their own words.
As previously stated, I have 3 witnesses that heard me ask the finance officer that I was the "co-buyer" and not the buyer. This was an outright tactic they used just to get the sale and financing.

General Manager and vice president *********************** has reviewed this case with the service manager ******************* and ****** Haddad. We find that our service department is not responsible for any financial supplement or refund. The details per statement made by the customer are responded to in red. We pride ourselves on servicing over **** service customers per month. Our rating on public media and BBB show we do an excellent and thorough job on all of our services. Thank you!Customer response

Complaint: 20207988
I am rejecting this response because:Although I am not an automobile technician nor an attorney, I do understand what customer service is.
**********************'s response to my concerns has taken from May 4th and the intervention of the Better Business Bureau to finally emerge on June 20th. They claim "Our rating on public media and BBB show we do an excellent and thorough job on all of our services." Nevertheless, I dispute that claim. Another Subaru dealer's technician also disputes that claim. Subaru itself has also settled its responsibility in the matter.
I cannot argue with Haddad's evasion of responsibility on technical or legal grounds, I am not qualified, but I respectfully dispute it regarding what they refer to as customer service.
Sincerely,

The truck I purchased for 40k went into service and came out with 2 different sets of tires when I came to pick it up. They never tried to contact me just made the decision on their own. Then told me I would have to buy 2 tires myself to make it right. The situation was very poorly and unprofessionally handled, all 4 of the tires matched when I agreed to buy it and if they didnt would have negotiated to have them install the correct tires just as the manufacturer recommends.Business response

The vehicle was sold to the customer with 4X 13/32 brand matching tires. These tires are the same exact size and specifications. We are not replacing two perfectly good tires. Regardless of the price of the vehicle, it is 1000% safe, correctly inspected, and passes mass inspection by far. ****** who sells the tires suggested these be paired with the two tires they no longer offer. Our shop did an excellent job making this vehicle safe including replacing ball joints (did not fail inspection, however we did the right thing and made sure they were new), etc etc. Fresh oil, wipers, filters, and 152 pt safety inspection has been completed. Our long standing reputation with BBB and the public will show we have a polished reputation especially in relation to the safety of our vehicles. Thank you! read below article provided along with many more postings.
AWD vehicles are highly suggested but not reqauired to have the same tread pattern. keep in mind these are all new tires. the depth is no different. 4 wd vehicles drive each axle front and rear seperatley so it does not effect the transmission or gear box.
*************
Can I mix different tyre tread patterns?
No. Mixing different tread patterns across the same axle is not allowed. The identical tyre model and tread pattern must be fitted for a single axle. You can, however, use different tyres on a separate axle just as long as they too match each other.Customer response

I want the truck I purchased to have matching tires on it just as it was when we agreed to buy it. The lack of due diligence on Haddad Subaruss behalf when they decided to not consult the owner of the truck when making a decision that would cost of us yet more money. This issue was not made by us on any way we were very happy up until that point. They can keep the tires on the front of the truck after replacing them with the matching tires that they put on the rear, which is what should have been done in the first place.Business response

I am attaching the manufacturers suggestion and advisment per their manual. The ram company suggests putting two of the exact size, rating, and quality on the rear axle and then again the same with the front axle. All four tires on this vehicle are the exact same size, rating, quality, and even brand. We are going by the manufacturer's suggestion. The tires were ordered previous to the vehicle being purchased. There is no benefit to the dealership in ordering incorrect tires for this truck.
We also would like to state that we are no longer communicating with the customer as they have chosen to assault our staff verbally using homophobic terms toward them along with many swears.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: Haddad Subaru did not remedy the complaint at hand or even acknowledge the issue. The size of the replaced rear tires ARE the same as the front, and correct for the proper functioning of the differential system, no one said otherwise. The issue at hand the lack of customer service, communication, professionalism and honesty of the entire establishment. Their only concern is keeping the rating on the better business bureau high enough to trick other customers into thinking they can safely spend a large sum of money with them on a vehicle, which is a common practice of used car salesmen around the world. Any issue you may have had and/or try in vain to manipulate was not with the customer, myself ********************* who purchased the vehicle. please try to focus on the issue at hand and show the world you have the capability or at least the capacity to do honest business. you ordering tires previously has nothing to do with us, or our transaction if it did it would have been communicated it before the truck went into service.your bottom line is the only concern you seem to have

I purchased a cad from carvana and it needed the antenna replaced. I brought it to this location and it sat there for over a month with no contact from haddad. We then called and were told haddad was too busy to give us a call to let us know they cannot do the repairs there. We went to pick up the car to bring it somewhere the car can be serviced and the battery was completely drained. We are now told the battery needs to be replaced and this was never an issue until we got the car back from Haddad.Business response

We did contact customer several times to retrieve the vehicle. The battery or its condition is not our responsibility. The vehicle was never brought into our shop nor did we touch the battery. The vehicle needed bodywork not a new antenna, we told the customer this. We left keys in car under mat as advised by customer. ********************** is not responsible for the condition of vehicles parked on our lot per our public policy.Initial Complaint
