We signed a contract with Finyl Vinyl in June of last year to have our roof replaced. They finally started/completed the job in November. We received notice from our city last week that while they had applied for a permit to do the job, they never actually pulled the permit. The building inspector told me they have been trying to contact Finyl Vinyl but they had not had any phone calls returned. My husband reached out last week and was told by the owner that it was a clerical error and he would take care of it. This week my husband tried calling finyl vinyl to see if it was taken care of but we arent getting any return calls. He then called the building inspector to see if the matter was cleared and was told they still havent contacted the building department to correct this matter and we currently leave an illegal roof.Business response

As was said in this comment we have filed for a permit and the permit payment was not maid before the install of the roof and this was in fact a error on our end. We apologized and have made payment and customer received the permit for the job at hand. This was an unfortunate situation for the homeowners to feel they were in and we sympathize for them to have felt this way. We did have a very long wait for the skylights before the roof was able to be installed and it did put us far out from when we signed and again we are sorry for this. It may have not been in our control but it still doesnt change how the customer felt about the wait. We are very happy to say that we are all back on the same page. Job was completed and all proper permits in hand so we are all moving forward in a positive manner. We do appreciate the business and hope to continue a long great customer relationship.Customer response
