My son had his wisdom tooth extraction performed by ************************ on Dec 29th 2022. Prior to performing the procedure, I was asked to pay $3730 as the dentist was not sure how much they will get reimbursed by insurance.They collected information on two insurances from me - One is MetLife for **************** and Second one is from Cigna which is my primary medical insurance. Cigna is covering the dentist as In-Network Provider and for MetLife they are Out-Of-Network.Dentist filed claims to both the companies Billing both for 4381.Cigna agreed to cover the entire treatment with a deductible of ****** (Remaining ******* to be returned). MetLife processed claim partially, paying Dentist **** only. When I reached out to dentist, they said they are working with ******* and sent one correspondence to us on May 4th and another on May 18th. After waiting today I reached out to MetLife and they informed me that claim made by dentist on Dec 29 was incomplete and hence processed it partially. Same with the claim submitted on May 4th and they are still working on the claim submitted on May 18th. They would not provide me an ETA when they will finish processing the claim nor were they able to tell me if the claim made is correct and accurate.Per my understanding Cigna is covering this dentist as In-Network and has provided maximum coverage. I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
My spouse had called them three times prior to filing the complaint and we had not received a path to resolving the issue, they implied wanting more time.
