Unfortunately our house was damaged by a tornado 8/7/23 & our insurance company hired Serv Pro to come out & do demo work. My first issue was receiving an email to sign before they came out & I emailed with concerns about, how I was signing something in their contract or agreeing to it before hand. For instance, “ all their equipment was in working order” how do I know that before it’s brought in our house? And that same evening when we came home their equipment was reading an error code. I did email & take pictures of the error code & send it to them. I did also ask they use the back doors, due to our stairs being narrow. They did not respect my request & damaged the walls going up & down the stairs with their equipment. When they were “done” on 9/3/23, I asked for a completion report to go over & noticed they charged the insurance company for work they did not do/complete. I then questioned & emails just went back & forth with no admission. I have all pictures & videos with dates that can verify this. After no choice of mine the insurance had them out again in November due to work that still needed to be done in order for our contractor to start. Then me being listed as a problem customer on their paperwork due to me questioning charges they charged the insurance company. ( to me that’s insurance fraud) This just makes me concerned of how many people they are doing this too. Also have videos of them breaking cabinets in our drive way with no concern of our vehicles & not picking up screws that then ended up in a tire. It’s very disheartening that this business is supposed to help people through a traumatic experience, yet they are careless & obviously not training their employees correctly. There definitely should be some qualifications in place to do this work. Also being told by the owners wife that my insurance would cover damages they caused. No, they need to report that to their insurance. Dealing with this company has caused much unnecessary stress.Initial Complaint

ServPro of Catonsville did flood remediation work on my basement. They ripped up the floor and half of a wall. When they rebuilt the wall, they took wooden, pressure-treated fence pickets from my garage and used them to rebuild the wall. I'm confident this is not up to any building code. I have pictures of the pickets and still retain them today. I have tried to contact the company via phone and email and sent them pictures, but they refuse to return my calls and indicate no fault in their email responses.Business response
