Jones Junction had our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe in their shop for three months because it needed a new engine. The vehicle wasn't safe to drive and we had to have it towed to the shop. This was the second time we experienced this type of engine trouble (December 2022) and Jones was able to correct the problem up until this past April when we learned it needed a completely new engine. The vehicle had < 76K miles on it so this came as a surprise to us, but thankfully was under warranty and spared us the $15K it would cost out of pocket to replace. During this 3 month period, we would receive text messages that Jones was still waiting on parts and would be in touch soon. After the first week of not having the vehicle I had to ask Jones for a loaner rather than them be pro-active and offer one. This was the first in many red-flags that we encountered during this ordeal. I wanted to escalate our concerns to someone in an executive role and had to search google reviews for poor ratings to get an email address. I emailed our concerns and the fact that waiting for the vehicle for as long as we did without Jones being completely transparent was unacceptable along with a request to have my towing expense and the money I had to pay back in December of 2022 to essentially mask a bigger problem refunded. I did receive a phone call from someone in customer relations advising she would reach out to other folks within the organization to get some answers. Some time later, the CR representative did get back to me, but did not address all of my question to which I replied. Again, some days later, she responded indicating she would need until the following Monday to address. I haven't heard from her since, nor have I heard from the service manager and I've communicated with email and phone calls and they refuse to get back to me. This is a perfect example of a large organization not caring about their customers and it lacks professionalism and courtesy.

Certainly! Here’s a more professionally phrased version: --- On June 5, 2024, I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Elantra. I completed the purchase through my credit union and asked the salesperson for the total price in order to apply for the loan. He informed me that the total cost would be $19,708.76. I applied for the loan online and completed the necessary paperwork on the spot. The following day, my daughter went to Jones Junction to collect the vehicle with a check from the credit union, a personal check representing the down payment, and her trade-in vehicle valued at $1,500. She successfully took possession of the car without any issues. However, three days later, I received a call stating that I owed an additional $5,000 for the warranty and tags and titles. I questioned the finance representative, as I believed the total price had already been paid. The initial loan application was based on the total amount provided by the salesperson, and I did not have an additional $5,000 for the warranty. This situation has resulted in us not having the Hyundai Lifetime Warranty, which is crucial for my daughter who attends college out of state and relies on this warranty. We left the dealership under the impression that the warranty was included, only to be informed later of an additional cost. I believe there was a misunderstanding by the salesperson, who might have assumed the $5,000 was intended for the dealership, despite my clear indication that my financing was through the credit union with a limit of $20,000.

I had my Hyundai Santa Fe towed to Jones Junction, Belair, MD when it wouldn't start. I thought the problem may have been the starter. When Jones was finally able to diagnose the problem (which was the battery), they also diagnosed six other issues that needed to be taken care of for a total of over $3,000.00. At this point, my husband installed a new battery and we drove the SUV off the Jones Junction lot and took it to my neighborhood mechanic. The major issue listed by Jones was Front Control Arm Replacement (blown and cracked) for a total of $1,229.80. After inspection of the vehicle by my neighborhood mechanic, the work that Jones had requested was not needed. Do not believe what Jones Junction tells you is wrong with your vehicle, GET A SECOND OPINION!
