Went to settle on the home. The water bills were not in my name they had not been transferred. There was a balance; but the bill was not transferred.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/04/18) */ Good afternoon! Ms. ***** is requesting that we pay water bills that actually belong to her. Baltimore is SO far behind on recordings that the bill she was receiving still had the previous owners name listed and even though it's HER usage she's not only claiming that it's not her bill BUT went on to say that she didn't even know there was a water bill for the home. She believed it was included in her BG&E bill. When I asked for her to look at her BG&E bill and see where water usage was listed is when she claimed me as rude and demanded I pay the bill. I empathize with First Time Homebuyers and actually paid for her water bill when she first moved in so that she wouldn't feel a negative tone towards home owning. I WILL NOT pay anything else. If this absurd claim causes a lower rating, I'm willing to take the chance. My reputation for treating people with fairness and kindness won't be destroyed. Thank you - Rachel Forame Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2022/04/27) */ ***Document Attached*** Please review the file stating on 12/8/20 **** ****** admitting that the company never submitted a change in ownership. This was an error that needs to be corrected. The owner Rachel refused to take ownership of the error that her office manager provided documentation to clarify. Rachel was never empathetic and stated "good luck with getting the funds". My settlement to close and sell the home was an absolute nightmare because this water was never transferred into my name. Rachel should own this mistake and pay the bill. As a veteran and first time home owner I am very displeased at the actions of this company and how I was treated as VA borrower.
