I called AAA on 3/30/24 at 1540 hours to tow my broken down vehicle in Williamsburg, Va. My 1st assigned tow was to arrive at 1639 hrs., At 1624 hours I was told that a different tow would come at 1730 hours. At 1710 I was again told that someone would be there at 1730. At 1740 I asked for an ETA and was sent a text asking if I wanted status, cancel service or Agent. Despite me answering, the cycle continued 5x with no help. I called and was told they were trying to work out the problem and would call be back. They did not. They texted at 1756 saying they were connecting me to an agent. As of 1315 hrs on 4/1, I have heard nothing. Today (4/1) I get a text thanking us for choosing AAA and allowing them to help. The text asked if I wanted an agent to speak to. Again, no contact. I was stranded 150 miles from home with 2 grandkids, my daughter and son in law. The vehicle is still in Williamsburg. We were able to limp it 2 miles to a dealer. I want a refund for what I paid for a membership this year. So now 2 people have to drive back to Williamsburg to bring the vehicle back after repair. Gas and time wasted is ridiculous..Initial Complaint

I called for AAA roadside service on 1/9. My car was towed to the wrong location, a AAA affiliated mechanic. It took two days to verify what had occurred, and it was scheduled to be towed to the correct mechanic on 1/11. It was not taken there. I spent weeks doing phone tag with my mechanic, trying to find where my car was. The AAA affiliated mechanic that the car was returned to, never answered my call, nor returned my calls, or responded to my reach-out via email. It was another two weeks before my car was discovered at the original location. It was scheduled again by AAA. That tow driver, did not bother to leave my car at the correct mechanic "because they were closed." He also did not tell AAA about the failed drop off, so the records sent to me was that my car was delivered. Ultimately, it took over ten hours of phone conversations and 7 weeks for my car to be taken to the correct mechanic. My neighbor saw my (very distinctively decorated) car driven a few weeks ago. So, I have reason to suspect the AAA service center did a bad repair, used in in some fashion, and thus caused further damage to my car. My car's entire Hybrid power system, has failed. It will not hold a charge. The Hybrid battery was replaced less than 40,000 miles ago, and they have a lifespan of 100,000. The repair cost is estimated at $10,000. I have had to spend money out of pocket for **** and metro fares in the 7 weeks without my car, and still no car. Previous times in which I had car issues due to cold weather the repair was an easy fix, at approximately $1,000. The extensive delay caused by AAA's tow truck drivers and service center, have ruined my car. AAA's Member Services has made no efforts to talk with me. They were supposed to call me 5 days ago. I am seeking a settlement for my vehicle to be replaced - either to pay for my car repairs, or funds to go toward a new car.Initial Complaint

After 25 years as a AAA plus member, I am upset that AAA not only canceled ** plus membership, but did it so unprofessional and rudely and without warning or written response to ** appeal in writing. I had a AAA plus membership family plan and ** family used it. AAA claimed two family members used it too much after an audit, but AAA approved each tow and never informed ** of any problems until long after a random audit and AAA then decided to cancel the entire family plan without warning **. After I appealed and had ** ****** send a letter they still to this day never wrote back to us and when I called I got both the run around and then finally after days of waiting for a supervisor call back I was verbally told they wouldn't renew ** plus membership even if the family members were removed from the account. Mind you, I got no warning, the family members got no warning and AAA approved all tows. The supervisor (******) was condescending, rude and interrupted and spoke over ** few and polite questions. I still have no response in writing to myself or ** ******.Initial Complaint

I have been a member of AAA road services for over 24 years. ** AAA membership number is XXX XXX XXXXXX XXX X. I had their Premier Membership package when I called them to report that I had run out of gas in New York City on November 14, 2021. Even their "basic policy" always covers bringing gas to members in this situation. I called them several times to ask for assistance. I even asked to speak to a "supervisor" because they would not respond to my location. I was in Manhattan! The car was in the middle of the road. NYPD responded and ended up towing my car to impound!
