I was extremely disappointed as a first-time client, at an establishment that claims to be "state-of-the-art." This review is based solely on the closing manager named Grace and the associate Mariah who checked me out after service. My masseuse was excellent, but the whole experience was ruined since management pulled a bait-and-switch on me with the payment. My massage was up-charged due to my masseuse, who I did not pick and was assigned, being highly rated. I spoke with the manager Grace, who told me they have had this same complaint before which means this is not a new practice. I was called a few weeks ago to verify a few things with my appointment, and yet at that time nothing about an upcharge was even mentioned. It felt like this establishment did not want to make it known that they have this "masseuse leveling system" which they can use to freely upcharge services above what the prices on their website. This was very deceiving, and the fact that management acknowledged this as an issue, makes me question the integrity of the business. If the level of the masseuse is incorporated into the price, then they need to let the customer know ahead of time or let me choose my masseuse based on the up charge. I emailed the concierge directly as the business owner stated in my review of the establishment. I waited 24 hours with no communication in response to the email I sent. Still waiting on a response from the business.
