Came to replace deck in June. Called Aug 22nd about loose boards. They replied they would be out to fix the boards. Contacted them again 9/6, 9/21, 10/2 and 10/10. Replied, will be out. It's 10/24 and nobody came to fix yet. Unbelievable.Review from Wanda A

Wanda A. I have sign an Insurance agreement on May 2, 2023 , I also paid an insurance deductible to Builtway Builders, Inc.. I have not received a call from anyone, The only time of communication is when I call or send an email, I had a pipe that burst in the main bathroom that flooded the bathroom and also the hallway, It’s been almost five months and no set a date or communication for a time frame . I would like to resolve this so I can move on from this horrible experience.Review from Leonard B

Took over four months to repair roof from wind damage. I never revived a invoice for the work performed. Paid contractor $2,000.00 for the repairs that ***** **** estimated at the cost at $900.00. Was overcharged $1100.00. Made numerous calls in reference to this but got no response. I don’t recommend using this contractor. Poor customer service and a rip off.Review from Rusty M

I requested work for my bathroom (very small) and spoke with Glen. I paid $3, 675.00 total for this small project which took two whole days. The work I needed was to scrape off tile and paint 2 very small walls. 2 Mexicans came in the first day and at the end of that day, I was told that my toilet was broken and the parts were old. My complaint was, the toilet was not broken before taking it off, so it's your responsibility to replace it. I spoke to Glen and was told I would not have to pay for it. The second day, 2 Mexicans came in and painted 2 very small areas which took 8 hrs. When putting back in the sink, I was told the parts were old and had broken. I was furious at this time and when speaking to Glen, he assured me that he wouldn't charge me. A stopper was installed and it was installed incorrectly. I guess as good faith, a stopper was installed in my sink. It does not work. It's broke and since I didn't ask for it, I have not called about it. When I went to use it, it wouldn't move. I tried to pull the stopper and the stick just came out. They didn't even ask me if I wanted my towel holder, soap dish or toothbrush holder back. Next time I need a job done, I will get help from workers standing at the Home Depot's parking lot. The job will definitely be cheaper. I will not be using Beltway Builders again.Beltway Builders, Inc. Response

In response to this review by Miss Kathern S*****, I would like to first off point out that Miss S***** is a repeat customer, that we have done work with. So she is what we would consider a repeat customer. I would like to first point out the derogatory terms used to describe the hardworking men, that came out to perform the work on her home, that yes are Hispanic in ethnicity, but I am unsure at what that has to do with much of anything, in the context of this review. The men that did work on Miss S***** home worked all day long, both days to complete her project. Miss S***** contract was fulfilled in its entirety. She states next that her complaint was "the toilet was not broken before taking it off, so it's your responsibility to replace it." Miss S***** toilet was very old, and yes when you remove very old items, sometimes they do unfortunately break, so our Project Manager without hesitation, replaced the supply line that broke, at no cost to our customer. Therefore, Miss S***** did not pay for that broken piece to be replaced, our Project Manager did. Regarding Day #2, yes again Two "Hispanic" Installers, and again hard working men, came back to her home, and worked another long day, to complete her project in its entirety. The sink was very old, just as the toilet was, and yes there were parts, that were so old, that they fell apart, and needed to be replaced, they also wanted to assure that the sink did not leak when they replaced it, so they replaced the part, again at no cost to Miss S*****. So I am not sure why she was furious, at the fact that our Project Manager, and Installers were trying to assure that the old parts, that were not a part of her contract, nor covered for replacement, got replaced at no additional charge to her, that I am not understanding. Regarding the stopper that was also installed, that was not part of her contract, and was done so as a curtsey for our repeat customer, had she reached out to, or contacted her Project Manager, and let him know there was a problem, and given him an opportunity to stop by and take a look, he could have very easily got that taken care of for her as well, but as she states in her review, she did not call or contact anyone regarding this, or any of her other complaints in the review, as she was not charged for any of these items. Lastly regarding Miss S***** other items that were in her bathroom, the towel holder, soap dish, and toothbrush holder, these items were part of the ceramic tile that was attached to the walls, so it could not have been reinstalled, had she discussed this with her Project Manager, he could have explained that to her, and there could have been a solution/resolution made for her, if it was brought to his attention that she wanted something like that done. Her Project Manager did his job thoroughly, and asked Miss S***** even after writing up the contract for what she had wanted done, if there were any other items in her bathroom she would like to have taken care of, Miss S***** said "No". So Miss S*****, has made very derogatory comments regarding the hard working men, that worked two long days to get her Contracted work completed, as well as her Project Manager not charging her for several items, that were too old to be used, and needed replacing that were not listed in her contract. She was not charged for any of these items. Miss S*****, has made a complaint, only regarding the free items that were done, which again if she contacted her Project Manager and gave him the opportunity to, he would have resolved it for her, as well as just making comment towards the ethnicity of the men that did the work, & the last line was more than uncalled for. Regardless of the skin type, those men did a wonderful job on the work in her bathroom. Miss S***** signed a Certificate of Completion when the job was done, and never once contact our company or her Project Manager in regards to a single thing stated in this review. Thank you for taking the time to review our response. If you would like that we provide any documentation we would be more than happy to do so. This review we believe is an unfair depiction of the actual events that happened, and Miss S***** did not give anyone a chance to resolve her dissatisfaction, or even give anyone the slightest inkling that she was not satisfied with any portion of what was done for her. Like I said she signed a Certificate of Completion and her contracted balance is the only amount that was paid by her, there were no additional fees that she had to cover.Customer Response

This is the second job I've had done. The first was my deck getting power washed and painted. That contractor did an excellent job!. This job was done by a totally different contractor and, I'm very unhappy with the service rendered. You were paid in full. The stopper that was placed in my sink as good faith was placed in wrong. It's broke, doesn't work. Again, I was not asked if I wanted my toilet paper holder replaced, towell rack replaced or soap dish replaced.Beltway Builders, Inc. Response

Miss S*****, stating that you are very unhappy, yet you signed a Certificate of Completion at the finish of your Contracted work, the Certificate of Completion signed by you, Miss S*****, very clearly states, "I (we), the project owners, hereby certify that all work, equipment and materials, covered by the contract dated 01/11/2022 between myself/ourselves and Beltway Builders, Inc. has been satisfactorily completed and said work, equipment, and materials has been inspected by me (us)."
Directly below that statement on the Signed Certificate of Completion, there is a bold rectangular box, inside that box it reads "NOTICE TO CUSTOMER: DO NOT SIGN this certificate until you are satisfied that the work, equipment, or materials as specified in the contract, have been satisfactorily completed." then right beside this bold rectangular box, there is a signature line, that is signed by you, Kathern S*****, and dated for both dates the crew performed work at your home, for the contract dated 01/11/2022. I just want to point this out firstly. Also, your complaints that you are stating, don't seem to be relevant to the actual work you contracted Beltway Builders to do, I just want to clarify that you are complaining about the portions of work you had done free of charge as a courtesy, for you? I gather you are also complaining that you were not given an option to keep the items removed from the tile, that could not be re-installed even if you had asked your Project Manager to have done it in the first place, as they were made to be installed only once. You were asked by your Project Manager as well if you wanted/needed any other work done, and you told him "NO". So, with what I have read, between the initial review, and the response is that you are upset about the Free replacement parts, that the PM purchased out of pocket, and had the installers install for you, your upset about the stopper that was also installed Free of charge to you, the items removed per the Contract, that would not be able to be reinstalled.. I am not sure what it is that we can do to resolve this issue for you, but between the beautiful job done for you, and the signing of the Certificate of Completion and not even speaking with your PM or calling our office, that you did not give us even a opportunity to try and explain or resolve the complain you left.Review from Zenovia T

They are a terrible agency, Initially I was told the floor I requested is no longer manufactured. Unfortunately I proceeded with them and they tried to give me a cheaper material that I quickly recognized was not what I ordered. They then sent another supply and I was told the floor was guaranteed for 10 to 15 years. The floor was purchased approximately 6months ago and required three repairs; after further investigation of the condition of the floor they told me to purchase another floor and are refusing to communicate unless I purchase another floor; after paying $3,000. for a floor. I want a refund and they shouldn't be on a list as a reputable licensed company.Review from Michael L

About a month ago I received an email with an invoice from Beltway Builders for work that was supposedly done a year ago. I replied that I do not remember this work being done (the house in question is a rental ) and I would like to see a copy of the contract. A month later they emailed me another invoice (with late charges tacked on this time) but no contract. So I emailed them again that I need to see the contract. Something just doesn't seem right here . BE AWAREBeltway Builders, Inc. Response

We have never received any email correspondence from customer. If he is responding to an Invoice, that would not go to the Company email, so we would not have any record of any emails from this customer. However, We do have a signed Contract with Mr. ***, from 10/20/2020, & Deposit Check **** in the amount of $1,200.00, Mr. *** has a open balance of ********* that is accruing late fees, All documents, and Deposit check are in Mr. ***'s name, and are signed by Mr. ***. We also have Invoices, and receipts, for the permit that we acquired for Mr. ***, & the work provided as well. Mr. *** has made no attempt to call our offices which the phone number is provided on the invoice, and again as our records show, we have no emails from the consumer here for any of our Beltway Builders email addresses. This review contains inaccurate information, and this consumer does have an outstanding balance with the company that we would like to receive payment for. All documentation can be provided if necessary. Thank you.Customer Response

I have received 3 emails in the past 2 months by a representative from Beltway Builders by the name of Cecelia H****. All emails demanding payment for work that was done a year ago. I have asked in the emails for a copy of the contract, so that I can review what work was done and what Payment was agreed on. I have still not received that copy.
I have a copy of all the emails that was sent to Mrs H****.
I have just received for the first time in the mail an invoice . Why is this invoice now being sent if work was completed a year ago? And why are late charges added to this invoice?
I am asking Beltway Builders for the 4th time for a copy of the contract .
