We entered into a contract with *****’s home sales to build our house. Towards the end of the project, they quit working and left several things unfinished. They did not finish installing the cabinets. They also installed several things incorrectly (2 windows upside down, 4 leaking window, and a leaking septic vent line in the roof). We paid additional money for an upgrade to the cabinets, which was not properly fulfilled.Business response

I have no idea what the customer is talking about, that we didn’t finish our work. We had all county inspections completed and a final payment from bank. As for cabinets not finished is the farthest thing from the truth. Proposal allowance cost were 1880.00 and due to covid shortages I ended up paying 6620. Plus 1250. To have them installed leaking windows have been turned in to manufacture for service and they have determined that’s it’s a wind and location issue not faulty windows. I am rejecting this response because:
Work not completed that fell to the customer’s responsibility :1) installation of upper cabinet doors
2) match painting inside of upper cabinets to match remaining cabinets
I’m not sure what the numbers being referenced are. The customer paid $900 for plywood sides on all cabinets, and $312 for crown molding. Neither were honored.
The builder left the house with 2 windows installed upside down, 4 leaking windows (not due to wind, as windows leak many days without wind), and a leaking roof boot.The primary reason this is being addressed to the BBB is that I have made many attempts, for 6+ months to resolve this with the builder. They have acted very unprofessionally, to the point of ignoring my emails, calls, texts, and even blocking my phone number.
