On Aug 3 2022, we were walking around our house, ***********************, and we noticed that the siding on the left side of the house was damaged as well as a sink hole near the steps leading to the basement. We called and submitted a service request through Haverford Home Customer Service website of the problem. They came out on Aug 17, 2022 to view the problem. My understanding is that the house is warranted under ****************************************** (****), which is a 10 year warranty on the construction of our home. >>> continued in upload documentation plus pictures, websites, ****, **************** Warranty and exceptable resolution.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      Dear **. ****************
Haverford Homes  bought the materials, built my house, selected lots and sizes and offered this lot to us to build my house.  Now, Haverford Homes is going to tell me it is my responsibility to arbitrate about construction of home procedures is my responsibility. Haverford Homes built my house.  This solution is not acceptable. When we selected this lot, the possibility of damage to the exterior (vinyl siding) of the house was not disclosed.  It was Haverford Homes responsibility to ensure that my house met the construction of home procedures.  it is Haverford Homes responsibility to correct this problem, as it was defined in the *****   Haverford Homes knew there was a possibility of this issue before they built my house, therefore, it is Haverford Homes responsibility to correct it.  I should not have to pursue the issue further than Haverford Homes.

      Regards,

      ****** *******

September 2020 I signed a contract for a new Haverford home (****** Model) in the ** *****, Accokeek, MD with a $25,000 deposit. Home was to be completed at the latest by Q4 2021 is what we were told. It is now Feb 12, 2022 and the foundation hasn't been laid, this is totally unacceptable. Haverford lack of movement has created an urgent need of finding a home ASAP. We purchased the home which had a mother-in-suite on the main level, because of my mother-in-law declining health to be mobile. We are now at a-point that she has to be moved from her current location, which has her and the family under much stress. I've tried to express my concerns/issues to the local POCs, but it just seems to fall on deaf ears. This effort is an attempt to make Corporate aware of what's going on that it's hurting Haverford brand and rectify the issue. There is model home in the community that's about 4 or 5 years old that hasn't been sold, that would meet my needs and I'm willing to settle with because my back is up against the wall, because Haverford inability to deliver my new home as promised. We are now coming up on 2 years and that is unacceptable, which has created a major misplace issue for us, when we planned well ahead of time, an my expectation was that Harverford would deliver as they said when we signed the contract. I have been in the **************** space for over 20 plus years (****** ***, ****************** and **** *******) and never have I seen or experienced anything like this, nor should any consumer. Your attention in this matter is greatly appreciated.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: There was no response to the complaint, it was very vague "we will contact the consumer". This isn't a response that is tangible, with no thought behind rectifying the issue, that would deem the case to be closed. I'm very disappointed in Haverford attention in this matter. When someone submits a case to BBB, I would think it would have been taken more serious and sincere.

      Regards,
