On 2/5/2022 I bought a Jeep liberty and was told that there was no rust on the car. The price of the car was ********* and there was a 3 month power train warrenty included in the price, I took a loan out at five county credit union for this vehicle. I brought the car back around Monday the 21st (not 100% sure it was Monday but right around this date), because I heard a tick in the engine. After they looked at the car they said that it "was totally normal" to have a tick in the engine, and they actually added something into the oil which masked the sound. Not being the most knowledgable person about cars, I did research and talked to people I knew (mechanics, people in the auto sales industry, and researched the noise I had heard). What I learnt is that it is a major issue to have a tick int he engine and it is likely a problem with the engine, I also found rust which I was assured did not exist on the car. I then started looking at the paperwork on the warrenty only to find out that my SIGNITURE WAS FORGED on a paper that I had not seen.The paper is the car protection plus and is for the warrenty included in the price. When my father confronted him on this, he denied forging my signiture, but yet me and the person with me can both attest to the fact that he did. I am seeking to get them to buy back the car.Customer response

ON 02/05/2022 THE COMPLANTAINT DID PURCHASE A **** FROM OUR DEALRSHIP. WE STAYED 3 PLUS HRS AFTER CLOSING TO ASSIT HER WITH HER PURCHASE, SHE NEEDED A CAR BAD BECAUSE SHE HAD JUST RETURNED A CAR TO A DIFFERENT DEALER THAT SHE HAD STATED HAD MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. SHE STATED SHE NEEDED FINANCING SO WE RECOMMENED FIVE COUNTY CREDIT UNION. WHEN SHE GOT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, WE FINISHED THE PAPERWORK AND DELIVERED THE **** TO HER. WE DID INCLUDE A PLAN FROM ******************** AT NO COST A $234 VALUE. THIS WOULD COVER THE POWER TRAIN FOR 90DAYS OR **** MILES. THE **** IS SOLD AS-IS EXCEPT FOR STATE INSPECTION ITEMS FOR 30 DAYS OR ***** MILES. ON 2-21-22 SHE SHOWED UP DRIVING A DIFFERENT CAR AND SOMEONE WAS DRIVING THE **** SHE CAME IN STATING THAT THE ENGINE WAS MAKING A NOISE AND SHE KNEW THE ***** HAD A BIG ISSUE, I STARTED TO GO OUTSIDE TO LISTEN AND THE PERSON WITH HER SAID ITS NOT MAKING A NOISE NOW, HE SAID HE DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING. SO, I SAID MAYBE WHEN ITS FROM A COLD START LEAVE IT AND, IN THE MORNING, I WILL HAVE A TECH LOOK IT OVER, LATER ON THAT DAY I ASKED A TECH TO GO POP THE **** I WANTED TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH IT, I WENT OUT AND SAID OK START IT HE SAID IT IS RUNNING. IT WAS RUNNING VERY SMOOTH AND NIETHER OF ** HEARD ANY TICKING OR UNUSAL NOISES, WE THEN HAD A OUR A TECH CHECK IT OVER IN THE AM HE SCANNED IT AND FOUND NO CODES OR ANYTHING UNUSAL AS WELL. I DECIDED TO ADD A CAN OF BG MOA THIS IS A ***** OIL ADDITIVE, USING BG MOA COMES WITH A LIFTIME GARRUNTY FOR THE *****, FOR THIS **** AND MILEAGE WOULD COVER 50% OF ANY ***** FAILURE. UNFORINATLY I WAS NOT ABLE TO EXPLAIN THIS TO HER BECAUSE WHEN SHE CAME TO PICK IT UP, SHE GRABBED THE *** OUT OF MY HAND AND LEFT, I THEN GOT A CALL FROM A MAN SAYING HE WAS HER DAD AND I WAS GOING TO BUY THE **** BACK OR HE WOULD MAKE MY LIFE MISERABLE. SO, TO WRAP THINGS UP THE **** CAME WITH A 30 DAY OR 1K MILE STATE INSPECTION ITEM WARRANTY, IT CAME WITH AN OPTIONAL ******************** PLAN FOR 90 DAYS OR **** MILES AT NO COST A $234 VALUE. I WILL CALL AND CANCEL THIS PLAN TO SATISFY THE SECOND PART OF THIS COMPLAINT AND RETURN THE MONEY SHE PAID FOR THE PLAN (ZERO DOLLARS AS IT WAS FREE). WE STRIVE TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY WITH THEIR PURCHSE HERE AT LINRIC AUTO SALES. WE LIFE BY A MOTO " DO THE RIGHT THING" BUT WHEN WE CAN'T FIND A PROBLEM AND HAVE NOT BEEN PRESENTED WITH ANY PROFESSIONAL OPINION OR DIAGNOSE FROM A LEGIT PROFESSIONAL. WELL BUYERS' REMORSE IS NOT A COVERED EVENT UNDER ANY WARRANTY.
