On July 18, 2023 ********************* at Toms Automotive took $650 from me for parts to fix my truck. He promised that the repairs would not exceed $1250 and it would take a week or two weeks at the most to complete. On the 25th I tried reaching him but he did not answer and his voice-mail was full. I drove by and saw my truck had not been worked on or moved at that point. On the 26th he answered after a few calls and told me he started on it the previous day and grunted it would be done so I could get it on the 1st of August. On August 1st he wouldn't answer his phone again so I drove there. He had not started working on my truck at all. It still had not moved. He refused to give me my keys, fender flares that I provided for parts or my money back. I got a second set of keys and went to drive my truck away and he said he would not give me my flares back. I told him that was theft and I was going to call the police and he finally conceded and gave me my flares and reluctantly gave me my keys as he said if I didn't leave he was going to "stove me up". He said he would get the money to me in 2 days. He didn't. He said three times he needed to get to a bank first. Then he just blocked my phone. My wife tried and he said he needed to get to the bank 4 or 5 times. He never did.

My 2013 Cadilac XTS-4 was making front driver side tire clunking noise, I sought to get a repair from Toms Automotive located at *****************************. Upon speaking with the merchant (***) he quoted me $450 for full repair on my vehicle and this was confirmed and accepted on my end on November 2, 2021, @ 5:58 PM I was told that my vehicle would be ready for pick up the next day, however, the vehicle was not ready as the "shipment" wasn't received yet and the parts had still been in transit. On November 9, 2021, at 11:42 PM I was told he had cut the part out of my car because it was rusted and I had no option but to go forward with an $820.06 payment to complete the job (I had no option as I was told the car was torn apart and he "cut the rusted part off" without my permission) on 11/11/2021 at 12:36 PM I informed the merchant my car was not fixed and was told he never completed the job and he was waiting for strut tops to come in. (I was never told this job was incomplete until reaching out to the merchant) I returned the car and scheduled pick up for 11/20/2021 told it would be fixed the same day via text on 11/19/2021 @ 3:54 PM I did not receive the car back until 11/30/2021 and the problem I went into the shop with was equally as bad if not worse... I brought the car to another mechanic for a detailed review and was told the strut repair had never been completed and the parts I was told had been installed into my vehicle were not actually installed. The job that this mechanic told me he completed for $1,300 had never been completed the parts had never been installed and the car was still impaired when I received it back from him. I believe the merchant should have told me before cutting the parts out of my car and making my car undrivable what his next steps were, on top of that I find it to be concerning he charged me for $1,300 of work he had never actually completed upon another mechanic review. My car has been fixed for $550 from another mechanic.

Tom's automotive was a very unfortunate series of events that I had encountered. I reached out for service and was greeted with a very upbeat mechanic who insisted that he would be able to fix my vehicle quickly with a two day turn around time. The job that I reached out for and was quoted for tripled in price and took over a month to complete. When I picked up my car the first time the vehicle had the same problem before entering the shop, upon receiving the car two weeks later being told the problem was fixed it was equally as bad as when I brought it into the shop the first time... I figured the third time was a charm, but it certainly was not the third time I received the vehicle I was told that he completed the job 100% it was worse than when I brought it into the shop the first time... I received a review of Toms work from another local mechanic and was told nothing had been completed on my vehicle. It's very unfortunate the amount of money lost on this bad deal I hate to say this but I truly wouldn't recommend anyone to do business with *** I am still dealing with these unfortunate events months later.
