WEX Health needs to be more responsive to customer service. The hold times are regularly 60 minutes+. This is by far the poorest customer experience of any service I have worked with. What about online? Good luck. The WEX Health COBRA sign does not work. It is very frustrating. And the online question submission? I have not received a response in over two days.Review from Jaree M

I paid my premium and a month and a half later united healthcare still has not received anything from them. They state I still dont have insurance contacted company multiple times and they simply state they have sent everything. I had both united and them on the phone at the same time and united told them they have nothing for me on record. Have requested my money back as it seems it was taken I I did not receive what I purchased. List my job and my daughter needed emergency surgery that I had to pay out of pocket. ***** this company. This WEX FSA sometimes approves receipts from the doctors office or Chiropractor or hospital and sometimes denies. When I called to speak to someone they pretty much said the receipts don't actually say it is my co-pay, however they sometimes pay and sometimes don't. The debit card works the same way, sometimes works sometimes don't. At open enrollment through my employer I will not enroll any longer. The company we had before this one was ***** never in 7 years had any issues. I should have checked here first before going with this company. Lesson learned. The hard way through my bank account. They have a different reason all they time for denying the claims. I'm out so much money it isn't even funny!!!! Customer service did not cash my check and then illegally debited my checking account. After establishing this had happened. They refused to send written confirmation my balance was paid. Stating we can only e mail through secure channel network stating I need to establish an account after. They say they don't have ability to mail anything after they sent me a coupon book to pay them. Horrible! Customer Service is in a foreign country (they wont tell you where they are or where you can mail correspondence) and the reps barely speak English. And, this is after you wait in queue forever. Every time you use your card (except prescriptions) you have to scan your bill/statement and upload it to their site. Even if it is for a very obvious current expense like a hospital or Dr, and even if it is a really small dollar amt. If you are searching reviews before thinking of signing up for a HSA, and your option is WEX - don't do it! You will be stuck with them for a whole year or until you can sign up for benefits again. If you are a HR or benefits rep - say no to WEX! ZERO stars rating.Review from kevin w

Horrible company. They did not tell me I would lose all FSA money after March 31st. The customer rep assured me it would still be there for use in the store, but on April 1st they absorbed 80% of the majority of the balance I asked to appeal and escalate but they would not. There are 48 reviews and all gave 1 star. This is unbelievable that this company is still doing that poorly. Do they know they are this bad or they don't care. The problem now is not necessarily Wex but the companies that are utilizing them to provide the FSA/HSA administration. Why don't these companies stop using Wex. Wex must be the cheapest option for these companies. I can't imagine why they would continue to use Wex benefits. I too feel that Wex is the worst health benefit solution for HSA/FSA administration. Why do you need a receipt for every $10 prescription at your local pharmacist. Do they not get a transaction code with the retailer information from there Wex benefit card to see where it is coming from. WTF! This is a piss poor administration that should not be in the market and companies should stop using them. STOP THE MADNESS! People's healthcare is very important to them and to use a piss poor company like Wex to manage funds is ridiculous.Review from Jack L

Need option to give zero or negative reviews. This company is FRAUD INFESTED. I have never used the debit card they mailed to me, always under my mattress, and by a miracle someone was able to fraudulently use the card to make online purchases. When I submit receipt for reimbursement for my own I get rejected all the time, while someone else is using my card (which was never used by myself) they just greenlight it. To make it worse, I’ve mailed the dispute form according to their instructions two months ago, till this day NOTHING HAPPENED. Their customer service told me it should be 45 days and till this day still NOTHING. They don’t even know which bank/entity issued the debit card for them (WTF?). I also faxed the form to their listed number and THE NUBMER DOESN’T EXIST. Called them 4-5 times TO NO AVAIL. Avoid at all costs.Review from Ari D

I was registered for a Wex HSA through my company's healthcare plan. It has been terrible since day one. First, they asked me to verify my identity and sent a list of approved identification documents, one of which was a photo of a non-expired ID. I then sent a photo of my ID, assuming that was going to be the end of it. Wex then proceeded to harass my employer and me at least once a week for me to verify my identity, which I complied every time despite how annoying it was. Wex then proceeded to close my account, which I had been paying for every paycheck I received in 2023, and sent me no further information. I only learned my account was closed when I received a new HSA card and tried to activate it, when the automated voice message informed me. I figured I could call the customer service line and sort it out, sending exactly what they need to verify my identity and re-open my account so I could access the fund deposited in the HSA, but no. Every time I call the number and input my information as prompted, I'm told there's an error and to call back later. I don't want to work with this company, my employer is no longer working with Wex, I just want to know how I get a refund of all the funds I deposited into this account throughout 2023. Just to recap; Wex made my HSA inaccessible from day one, closed my account without notice, and have made no efforts to get my funds to me, and they can't be reached besides their internal message portal that NO ONE RESPONDS TO. This company is cancerous and needs to be SHUT DOWN. They're playing with people's HEALTH CARE and MONEY. Get it together!!Review from Cristina G

If I could give them zero stars I would. They make the claim process unnecessarily complicated. Their website is frequently non functioning and they never answer the customer support line. We have been unable to access our benefits for over 6 months. This is unacceptable.
