Purchased a service warranty from whirlpool about a week ago. I scheduled a service call and I was given n all day window from 8am to 4pm. Therefore, I had to scheduled a day off from work. Technician from Appliance Care of Texas showed up and was done in less than 2 minutes. He said, the issue with my washer and it’s been n on going issue, he didn’t have the part to fix it today but for the same reason, they’ve ordered a bunch of parts. However there was no ETA for the part and could not give me an idea when will they have the parts. Meantime I took a whole day of from work and still will have spend on going to laundry mat. I called to cancel the warranty and the lady Ashantia refused to cancel the one week old warranty. Ashantia never asked any questions simply gave me excuse after excuse, placed me on hold numerous times. Excuses were you will have to pay for the full year, call after 5 months , there are no managers to speak to, managers are in back log, my systems is down and can’t pull up your case, she also hung up on me twice. Finally she said, you will get charged $203.00 for the cancellation if you don’t pay, we can’t cancel. Decided to call whirlpool corporate number and the lady ALSO no questions no concerns , simply said let get you to customer service. Customer service never answered. This is how whirlpool and affiliates take money from consumers. Then put an image of making donations Just to write off and hold on to more profits. I lost a day from work. Technician got paid to come out n do nothing , he was in and out in less than 2 mins and I still have to drive to a laundry mat and wash all the laundry accumulated during the days I waited for this appt.Review from Toni R

My refrigerator hasn't worked correctly since delivery on 6/29/24. Whirlpool has sent a repairman to my home 7 times (sometimes I had a 3 week wait before they came). Now today the repairman found that the refrigerator was leaking freon and needs a new seal system. After countless hours of waiting for repairmen, and food loss, they won't replace the refrigerator because they say it can be repaired. But how many times do I have to put up with this nonsense, and still don't know if it can be repaired? They've already replaced the control panel, thermometer and freezer sensor. And yet the freezer is too warm (the ice cream melts) and the refrigerator is too cold and freezing all my vegetables. In 5 months they have been here 8 times. Isn't there a lemon law on this kind of thing?Review from Ben K

I wish I could give Maytag and Whirlpool a negative score, and this coming from someone who usually only leaves great reviews or stays silent. I worry about others being caught in my situation so here’s my review. I purchased a Maytag microwave and it was defective out of the box. I contacted Maytag about an exchange and was told to have a repairman look at it. The repairman told me the parts required are back ordered and to request a replacement. Maytag claims it’s Whirlpools policy that they won’t replace it and they need time to look for parts. My microwave has been little more than a paper weight since I got it September 2024 and am now in November 2024 still being told I need to give them time to locate a part and if they can’t locate a part they will start a “resolution investigation” to determine what to do next. Considering during this time I also purchased a Samsung fridge and a couch on Amazon that also had issues. ****** swapped out the fridge without an ounce of issue and Amazon just sent a new couch and told us to do with what we would the old couch. To see actual customer service like that at the same time as this debacle just highlights how miserable and unfriendly the customer service from Maytag truly is I will NEVER purchase anything from whirlpool Maytag or any other appliance under their umbrella. The customer service is non existent and if you have a problem you’re better off just scrapping the unit and purchasing from their competitors than wait in vein for any help from Whirlpool/Maytag customer serviceReview from Heidi K

want to share the nightmare I’ve had dealing with Whirlpool and Nebraska Furniture Mart. I bought a clearance fridge from **********for my elderly parents, who live on a fixed Social Security income. I was told the fridge had no issues and was only returned because the previous customer changed their mind. Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely false. Shortly after, I left town, and when I returned, my parents told me the fridge wasn’t working properly. The food in the refrigerator section kept freezing, while the freezer section wasn’t cold enough to keep ice cream solid. Since May, I’ve been in constant contact with Whirlpool and *******. They’ve sent technicians repeatedly and even replaced a part, yet the same issues persist. Now, they claim the fridge is “working as designed” and instructed us not to put food on the top shelf to avoid freezing. I’ve purchased fridges before and have never been told I couldn’t use all the shelves. After this experience, I’ll never buy from Whirlpool or Nebraska Furniture Mart again. My parents can’t afford to waste food with the rising cost of groceries, and every week I have to call Whirlpool, wait on hold for over an hour, only to be told the same excuses. They even warned they would charge me $75 for another technician visit. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, and the lack of accountability from both companies is unacceptable.Review from Louann C

My whirlpool fridge stopped working a week after I purchased it! They do not reimburse for lost food, and the appointment to get it looked at is not going to be for 2 weeks! They suggested I put my food in coolers with ice! I cannot get my money refunded. So as a warning to others wanting to purchase anything from whirlpool you might want to explore other options! Their products are junk !!Review from Carrie R

We bought a refrigerator with french drawers and a drawer. In the three years we have owned it. The door gaskets have been replaced and they tore again with in a year. We have had troubles with the refrigerator so many times. Now we have finally hooked the water to it for the ice and water dispenser only to find out that it leaks and has to be replaced. So each time the gaskets need replaced it is 195 and now they quoted us 230 to fix the water filter system that has never been used. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone. You think you are getting good quality products to have to pay to have them fixed as soon as you use them.Review from Marciano P

I bought a new home 2 years 10 months I paid for a whirlpool dishwasher which was delivered damaged . No one knew it was damaged in the back and they tried fixing it until they discovered the damage . It was replaced with the same model and has continued to leak during this time they have sent technicians to fix it about 10 times it still leaks. Three hours replacing the tub it still leaks I need a different dishwasher replacing this one . I can’t seem to get them to replace it they keep sending technicians that leave and then the leaking occurs I even recorded the leak. This is a new home and I have been given a bad appliances and for two years ten months I have been dealing with this .Review from Kaelyn F

If I could give a zero I would!!! Had the rudest customer service representative today named *********. Spoke down to me because of being a young woman like I was clueless about what was going on and was completely unprofessional. Not to mention he HELPED ME ZERO!!!! Still without a working refrigerator for a month now and that is just THIS time. This fridge is ONE year old and has literally been serviced 4 times now. I will NEVER buy another whirlpool appliance EVER.Review from Neal G

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2023 and have experienced significant issues with its performance. In July, the refrigerator stopped cooling entirely. After reaching out to Whirlpool for assistance, I was informed that it would take 10 weeks for the necessary repairs to be completed. Unfortunately, it is now October, and the issue remains unresolved.Throughout this process, I was unable to reach anyone in management to expedite the service, and the customer service team repeatedly provided vague and unhelpful responses. Given this experience, I find the company's support and service highly unsatisfactory. I strongly advise against purchasing their products based on my experience.Review from Melinda R

Whirlpool used to be reliable. Now they make appliances with substandard parts. Warranty tends to not cover everything. The brace for my bottom shelf broke off. First they were going to replace but now they say it is cosmetic. The shelf is sagging! They now want 133.00 for the shelf brace that broke off. Don't buy whirlpool anymore!
