I thank you for taking the time to read this email. At this point I am beyond frustrated and I am hoping someone can help me with this situation.I am an extremely frustrated customer from your ******************************************************************** dealer in **************** ********.My initial impression of them was great. They had multiple new sales team members on the floor. Mine was ****. **** was a great sales guy to talk to. I knew he was new because he had to go ask for answers after multiple questions. Which was fine, as long as we got answers.Looking at some of the used bikes, we saw a 2022 Strretbob with ABS. After talking to his sales manager, **** presented that getting a 2023 last years model new was about the same price. Again let him know ABS was my top priority, and yes it was included.A Little back and forth with the price and trade in of an Indian scout I was trading in, we came down to a price and agreed to it. Ran credit multiple times, not sure why that was done multiple times but it lowered the score by a few points that kicked me from one credit tier group to the next lower one. The finance guy made it work with minimal change to the price. Not a huge deal I thought. Signed the financial paperwork at 6pm when the dealership was closing. After getting home, I was still excited about my purchase and starting looking for mods for my new bike. I put the ** from the financial paperwork into the Harley Davidson website and noticed it was a model without ABS on it! I immediately texted my sales *************** to let him know we had an issue that we needed to talk about once the dealership opened..... and this is where the frustration really starts to come in.After trying to contact the sales manager ***** and the financial *********************** the only answer I kept getting was you signed it, it's a done deal. So I called the corporate consumer line to talk with them. I was able to file a complaint and they connected me to ***** ( which told the corporate customer service an off the wall story of I said I didn't want it). ***** told me that the amount of credit I was allowed through Harley did not allow me to get a streetbob with ABS so it was written up without it. And instead of telling me that, they just had the deal done with the assumption I had it one there. But still, he would talk to ****, who is the General manager about it and would see what we could do....... in the past month I have called the dealership no less than 20 times with being able to talk to **** once from a few minutes who said he would check on aftermarket ABS and would get back to me. I've offered to pay the difference in cash multiple times because they said that's the reason. The safety of ABS for en extra $1000 price difference is a no brainer for me. Still no call back from ****.... everytime I call, *** answers the phone and states he will talk to him and put another note on his desk to call me back! No calls back each time.So to recap, I was fraudulently sold a motorcycle without options I was told were going to be on it just to fit my budget under the credit allowance.( even though they were able to fit in wheels and tire package and extended warranty in my budget?) After immediately finding this out, I contacted the sales member, sales manager, general manager and corporate customer service. I have had zero resolution and am paying on a motorcycle without the features I want just to find out Motorcity Harley Davidsons moto is the sell a motorcycle ************* to get the sale but not to help the customer?

This is a dealer complaint against Motor City Harley-Davidson in ****************, ** and not ****.

Can we have this transferred out?

Thank you and have a great weekend.

Several conversations had between all parties involved in complaint. Customer was informed that all proper documentation was signed at time of purchase and full disclosure was given. Customer took delivery of purchased vehicle and provided his trade. Customer was also provided information of his financial situation and that Motorcity Harley-Davidson would need to have another approval to purchase vehicle with options mentioned.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your rejection of the business's response.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

This response is probably the most sales person answer they could have given.

There are true and false facts throughout the whole statement.

Yes, I took delivery of the bike, and yes I gave the trade to them. I had to, I signed for it, by law it was no longer mine. And I follow the law, unlike the dealership.

None of the paperwork I was given or signed have the options that are included on them anywhere, that's the reason I had to come home and run the serial number through ****************************************** website to actually see what options were truly on the motorcycle. Like I said in the initial complaint. I took the word of the sales person it was on the bike, why would I question it, it was suppose to be an option that I asked for.
If it wasent for the arbitration agreement I signed at the time, I would be suing in court for the fraudulent sales tactics from this dealership. I have all the text messages from the original sales guy about there was a mistake I found less than an hour after it was all signed. I'm sure the dealership has access to the multiple calls with multiple  sales and finance people there as well. At least the sales manager said he did.
And after all that, their best solution is to come back and buy another motorcycle with the options I want on it? That also shows how shady this dealership is.

I hope people can see these messages in the future, I also hope that they understand that this dealership will s**** you over without thinking twice about it!

      Regards,

      ***************

Motor City Harley Davidson has been informed, on multiple occasions over the past few years (both in email and telephone conversation), to not contact me for any reason in any medium - email, text or telephone call. I was assured - on multiple occasions - that I would not be contacted. Fast forward to today, well over a year since the last contact, and some random sales person contacted me, leaving a voicemail, requesting I potentially trade-in or sell my motorcycle to them; ironically enough, had the sales person actually taken the time to research the vin, he would have realized that bike has not been registered in my name for - at least - three years. I was hopeful a polite conversation with their administrative staff would do the trick but apparently not. Hopefully this complaint coupled with the *** complaint will do the trick.

      Hello ********,

In response to ****************** complaint, I have removed his contact information from all platforms. Attached is the record of the last few transactions with our company on 12/29/23 and 2/27/22. We are a new company as of 6/15/2021, under new ownership. It appears to most customers that we are the same due to us keeping the "MotorCity Harley-Davidson name, however, that is not the case. The message to remove ****************** information obviously was not transferred over during the takeover, and for that, we apologize.
