On 8/17/22 I received a package which had been packed & shipped by UPS store #0176. The package contained six ceramic sculptures and was insured for $600., the purchase price. My sister, ************************* of ***********************************************, had sent them to me and I opened the package immediately. Two of the sculptures were broken. I called my sister, informed her of the problem and asked her to contact *** and inform them of the damages. She called the store numerous times and no one answered. She then went to the store in person twice. As she did not receive a satisfactory response, I then took over the process and began calling the store. No one answered the phone and I left a message with my information. Finally, several days later I received a message requesting photos of the damaged items, but the store did not leave a call back number or email address. With the receipt obtained from my sister I sent, by certified mail, a letter, photos of the damaged sculptures, and copies of the purchase receipts for the sculptures. I mailed this letter to *** store #**** on 9/7/22 & an employee signed the letter's return receipt on 9/15/22. I also emailed the *** store & informed them of the letter and the damages.Because I received no response from *** store , I emailed them various times over the subsequent months requesting information. Finally, I called the store again on 2/13/2023 seeking information. I spoke with *************************** who identified himself as the manager. ****************** stated that no action had been taken because the trucking company had come to my house to inspect the package and had gotten no response. This is a lie. At no time did anyone call, write, email or visit my home. I am retired and at home 24/7. I told **************** that the package is available for inspection at any time so long as I am notified.To date, I have received no response from ***. They are avoiding their responsibility for the damages.Tracking # 1Z 2FW 696 03 **** ****
