****, did a great job on my kitchen and for that Im grateful. The young lady that did the bathroom also did a nice job however, I had significant chemical damage to my tub because of the product that was used. Its usually not possible to shower and leave the tub clean. Naturally it must be cleaned with a mild cleaner. Im in a wheelchair, **** advised that the tub was backed up which was unusual. Later when I went into the bathroom I unlocked the latch to release the water which was white and the tub was peeling. I didnt think to let her know in advance that the tub had been reglazed my mistake. When I called ****, she didnt respond to my message so I called her again the next morning. Her company is bonded and insured and she advised that she did both reglazed and regular porcelain tubs and never had this happen before. I wondered why with her experience and being the owner she never asked what kind of tub this was before starting. I told her that I would get estimates for the repair. Once I presented the estimates she couldnt take any responsibility. The cheapest estimate was $450 seems that she would consider paying half since her chemical stripped the tub. Im handicapped and on a fixed income now having to see how I can obtain this amount. The chemical residue is still in the tub I cant clean it as I cant bend over. With integrity you do whats right, in the end you reap what you sow positivity or negative.

***************** call was returned as soon as I saw heard her voicemail. Before starting her house, as with any other, I asked if there was anything specific she wanted us to use to clean. She said there wasnt and that we could use our own products. There was a rubber bath mat on the bottom of the tub. You are not supposed to use those on reglazed tubs, as that will void your warranty. The reaction between the mat and the glaze can cause it to lift. The girl that cleaned the tub saw there was a piece of the glazing missing when she lifted the mat, but didnt think it had just happened. The tub was quite dirty and needed some scrubbing. She used Bon Ami and a rag and was able to get all the soap scum ,mold and mildew off. ***************** is saying the water with some bon ami residue in it is what stripped that piece of glaze off. I explained that is was like that already. She made it very clear that I have insurance and this is what its for. True,I have insurance, but if Im not at fault, my claim will be denied. I honestly dont feel Im at fault , or that anything we did caused the damage. I tried explaining this to *************** over the phone. While Im very sorry her tub is damaged, I dont believe myself or my employee caused it. I dont feel its my responsibility to compensate *************** for her negligence.
