On 1/12/23, my nanny, *******************, took my comforter to be cleaned at Lyons Pride Laundry. This was a white, down comforter that was purchased in Feb. 2021 for $169.59. This comforter measures 120x98in. We picked up the comforter on 1/19/23 and paid cash $*****. When it was brought home it did not fit my large king-sized bed and there was also a large brown paint or blood stain on the comforter (which mine did not have). We took the comforter back and the owner ***** was rude and said we were wrong. I called 1/20/23 at 11:38am and ***** told me that I was wrong and this was my comforter. I tried to inform her that it was not because 1) it did not even fit on my bed, and 2) there were large stains on this linen. I told I think it's only fair they owe me $175 (which was an underestimate, after reviewing the price of the comforter paid and the ***** paid, it should actually be $195 ($194.58 to be exact). She got very irate and said "I don't owe you nothing." I tried to explain that there was no way they gave me the right comforter and she began to scream at me and then hung up on me. I tried to call back twice and was hung up on both times. I decided to go directly to the business to try and resolve this but since I had never been to this business and did not know what I might be walking into, I had a police ****** just in case. We went into the business around 11:50am, owner's wife had already left and ******* was the employee there. I measured the comforter they claim is mine and It measured 60x84 inches, was very worn/yellowed, had a frayed tag, and the aforementioned brown paint/blood stains. As indicated, my comforter was 120x98 inches so it was clearly not mine. I requested at the very least a refund of the $***** cash paid, and was told by ******* that she could not do that. I am now out almost $195 and would like to be compensated by this business. If there is any additional information I can provide, please let me know.
