I was a resident at the Park At Franklin from November 2017 through September 1, 2023. Initially under the terms of a previous ******************* Homestead, the Fountains of Franklin, my rental payments coincided with the date of my Social Security Benefits. When the business was sold, a new management company, ***************************** In *******, ** contracted a new manager who began bullying me. The new manager *********************, insisted that I pay rent the first week of each month, regardless of the fact my benefits arrived on the 3rd week. I continued to pay rent when my benefits arrived. The Bully, *********************, accepted my checks and raised my rent, I paid that as well. I was asked to pay an additional $75.00 per month which I could not afford, I advised I would move out. They asked if I could pay $25.00 more, agreed to that amount, paid my rent but was eventually taken to Court because I couldnt pay on the first on the first. The case was dismissed and the Community Housing Network, stepped in and paid my rent for three months allowing me to save enough money for moving expenses. Management at the Park At Franklin and ********************* were aware of this financial ****** the Bully signed an affidavit, and W9 tax form stating all money received would go the name listed on the property tax form. The Mgr did everything she could to stall and delay the process, sending in false ledger amounts, adding a separate charge for utilities that before was included in the rent, and purposely lying in court etc. I moved as expected on Sept 1, 2023. 4 months after moving I received a Notice of Claimed Damages for moving out without giving notice! The amount of the claim was over $5,000 dollars. I was not made aware of a court hearing or a subsequent judgement until after the fact. I have proof that I gave written notice that I was leaving, proof that they could have reached me before the hearing, proof that I am still being bullied.Shame On Them.
