I paid $171 in July 2023 for 52 weeks of News Herald, then i received a late notice from the News Herald in August 2023, so I (mistakenly) paid the paper another $171. ($342 in 2023). The News Herald was sold in January 2024 at some point and the carriers were fired by 21st ************** Our Wednesday papers stopped arriving soon after. We've missed 8 Wednesday papers so far, and when I called the paper they said a couple things: No refund for prepay; they'll add the missed papers at the end of my subscription. On 03/20/24 I called to report the missed paper and asked if my carrier quit, they said no and they would reach out to that person to continue delivering. No Wednesday papers have been delivered in the last four weeks. We do receive the Sunday edition with our *********** The Wednesday delivery is their problem.Business response

The customer has been grossly misinformed on a number of points. ****** ******** Herald has not been sold nor are there any ongoing changes in ownership. We are owned and operated by 21st ***************************** as we have been for many years. Any published account suggesting otherwise amounts to misinformation at best, and libel at worst. Second, we do not directly contract with or employ any newspaper carriers - and have not for many years. We do not make staffing decisions on delivery routes, and neither hire or fire newspaper carriers. Rather, *********** with third party distribution companies that handle the oversight of all deliveries. We did change distribution partners this past January. Although we are not privy to details of the conversations and negotiations, we know that our new partner did work to retain some of our previous partner's staff - some stayed on, others did not.
The service interruptions reported by the subscriber are likely due to turnover and training as our new partners fully transition in to the area. We will notify the owner/operator and all direct-line managers of the ongoing Wednesday delivery issues, and ask that they expedite an immediate resolution.

This complaint is about not receiving a bi-weekly newspaper from *********Herald for the last two and a half months. My subscription account number is *******. At the beginning of June of 2022 I paid $282.00 by check for a one year subscription, $182.00 for the actual one year subscription and an additional $100.00 tip for the delivery person. the third week of July I place a hold on the delivery for two weeks as we were going out of town on vacation. The service was supposed to resume at the beginning of August. I have received only one issue since then. I have placed numerous phone calls to customer service and a few emails to their website and and can not get a definite answer as to why the delivery has stopped. I have requested a continuation of the service for a year or a full year refund including the tip. My address is as follows:********************* **************************************************************
