9/21/21- Signed an agreement & provided a down payment for 4 new windows to be installed at my home. This was during the pandemic & I was told that I would need to wait 9 months due to supply chain issues & labor shortages. Summer 2022 - Eagerly awaited the installation of my windows. When no word as to the status of my job was provided, I attempted to reach out to the owner of Advanced Window Systems, but had quite a bit of difficulty reaching him, or anyone on the office. I texted, called, sent emails & stopped by the showroom. I actually wondered at one point if they had gone out of business. I finally made contact, only to be told that there were still supply chain & labor shortage issues & that it would be a few more months. Spring 2023 - I contacted the actual manufacturing company who was making the windows (SOFT-LITE WINDOWS in **** - phone # ************) to see if I could get answers. They would not tell me anything because I was not the dealer. Shortly after that I was contacted by the owner of Advanced **************************** claimed the manufacturer had experienced a computer issue & all orders had been lost, but they were back on ***************************** would be 4-5 weeks for delivery. June 2023- After 6 weeks had passed I contacted the owner to find out where my windows were & was told they were damaged in production & needed to be remade. I asked for a production schedule but that was not provided. I continued to send messages to the owner as to the status of my order. August 2, 2023 -Called the manufacturing company again & they listened to my story. I also spoke to a representative who oversees the window dealers and found out that most of what I had been told was not true, that there was no order pending for my windows & that the owner's account was currently frozen.August 3- Called the owner of Advanced Windows and cancelled my order. He tried to convince me that he would eventually get the job done, but by this point I had lost faith in his honesty.Initial Complaint

I ordered replacement windows at the end of October, 2021 and knew that it could be several months to get them installed. I last talked to the owner in November 2022 and he told me it would be the end of the month. I have not heard from them since. They don't return calls, their phone mailbox is full and has been for a long time.I want to get my $4000 deposit back, but I'm concerned this is not a going concern at this point.
